Everyone else tired of listening to this all week? That is all they talked about this morning on Mike and Mike while I listened driving to work. Everyone knows Manning choked in playoffs and should of won more Superbowls, but Irsay should worship Manning who brought his franchise back to life and reason they got a new stadium. I hope Denver beats Indy by 50 pts just to shut Irsay up. He is becoming as worse as Jerry Jones!

Irsay is an asshole, none of this surprises me.

I agree though, it's annoying. I listened to Mike & Mike. I lol'd at Todd Helton's comments.

What was his comments?

Also, I don't recall Irsay being so outspoken and Obnoxious while Manning was there. Ever since he got a twitter account, he has become a real life rich version of tiernan.

How much bonus money will Irsey be handing out if Indy pulls the upset? This is his personal SB and I think the Colts might be up for winning one for the old man.

myself personally?...I hope Manning gobberstomps the fkn daylights out of 'em. A must see game fer sure.

Have to wonder how much synthetic or amplified noise the Colts will pipe in for this one to try and disrupt PM

I believe Manning and Helton attended UT at the same time.

The media is what is wrong here.

Irsay is planning a HUGE celebration for Manning lol. To say he doesnt worship him is ridiculous. Manning is the one who convinced Irsay to take Luck, cause Irsay didnt want to let Peyton go.

All he said was it was disappointing to be there 11 years and only win 1 ring. If anyone disagrees, they are morons. Even Peyton is probably disappointed as hell.

Yeah I agree with you... and like other people have said if anyone should be upset at Irsay's comments it should probably be Bill Polian and to a lesser extent Tony Dungy.

Most def he has to be disappointed with all the lost chances.

If Irsay is smart they go overboard in doing anything that could take any sort of focus away from PM and throw a huge welcome back type of thing. Go overboard, and try to get him to relax and lay down his guard a bit.

And that's the closest Tiernan will ever come to being complemented by someone other than himself on this site.

Could you imagine how disappointed the Browns fan base would be if we had all of those 12-14 win seasons and kept losing in the playoffs? I don't blame Irsay, I just don't think it needed to be said.

I wouldn't be THAT dissapointed if we got at least one SB though.

Much to do about nothing. What's new? I think this more to do with Irsay and Polian with Chris Mortensen (he is tight with Polian) getting in the mix as well.

As for the game...the Colts better find some answers on defense. Rivers sliced and picked them apart. Manning does what Rivers does...only better and faster. Non-existent pass rush coupled with injuries to the LBs and secondary...could be a long night for the defense.

Pep Hamilton is quickly getting on my shit list. He has a Ferrari under center and he is driving it like a fucking Buick. Let Luck go. Use the pass the setup the run. Hopefully Arians gets run out of town in Arizona and he will come back and be the OC in Indy.

Yeah, that is how I am. My browns and bengals buddies are giving me a hard time about the steelers being atrocious this year and I just tell them that I am not too fired up about it because of the success the last 20 years, and if the next two is even half as successful I will be extremely pleased!

Mortensen is trying to claim that Manning never told Irsay to draft Luck, that Peyton wanted to stay in Indy.

The colts did what they had to do and I dont think anyone can fault them for it. PM was aging and only had a couple of years left, realistically, and with his injury you really did not know he was going to come back like this. Plus, Luck was supposed, and looks to be, a bona fide lock to be a star franchise QB for a long time.
Could they have drafted AL and kept PM around for a couple of seasons?

Sure, but then they would have also had his salary on the books which was substantial and it could and would have altered how they moved forward in building the franchise. I dont think it would be as easy as just plugging PM into the exact same situatio that Luck is in right now.

PM got lucky taht there was a ready made championship caliber team just needing a QB. They beat the steelers with Tim fucking Tebow, that shows how talented that cast was and they added much more to it with PM.

Irsay's comments were terrible and that bad, but as usual everyone blows it up.

The colts HAD to select Luck (or RGIII). They chose to cut PM and to be honest...with the uncertainty to his health and age, could you blame them?
