They won't, so it won't matter.

I doubt it. But it's not happening. Miami is not that good. FSU will win by 14+

It's going to be very similar to the Clemson game IMO. Miami is not good.

Osu made up a good bit of ground this week thanks to the computers. Would have made up even more had sdsu made that game winning field goal vs fresno.

A lot of big games next week that is going to cause some major moving around for teams. I dont understand why there is two huge games on a thursday though.

Thursday games
Oregon at Stanford
Oklahoma at Baylor

Saturday
LSU at Alabama
Houston at UCF - should be a very good game

Wisconsin is the only team they've played so far with a pulse.

Uhh Alabama has won 3 of the last 4 national titles. I think they have a right to be #1 until they lose.

Can the Rose Bowl choose FSU over Stanford if there happens to be 4 undefeated teams? Seems like they may be tempted to do that..

No, if the teams are NOT in the national title, conference affiliations must be kept. So, FSU, Baylor and Ohio State, even if unbeaten, are all locked into DIFFERENT bowls. This is what really sucks.

The Sugar Bowl would get the #1 pick and the Rose Bowl would get the #2 pick, if the current standings hold (Bama 1, Oregon 2).

That's why I have the Sugar Bowl taking their at-large as Manziel and an SEC team (assuming they don't lose again) and the Rose Bowl choosing a Pac 12 team in Stanford.

Once those are picked, the final 2 at-large picks go to the Sugar Bowl and then the Fiesta Bowl (figuring the Sugar would take Clemson for geographical reason) and then the Fiesta Bowl would be stuck with the last team, and if Fresno finishes top 12 in the BCS standings, they are guaranteed a bid.

The team who gets screwed the MOST is FSU. They go from a 13-0 season and robbed from playing for a title, to playing in the WORST BCS Bowl, with nothing to play for, against an in-state opponent who has nothing to lose and would love to beat the in-state power.

I don't feel this should matter. What does last year have to do with this year. With this logic osu would need to be AT LEAST number 2 since they didn't lose at all last year. Bama has played one top 30 team, a&m. They played va tech when they were ranked but they have losses to duke and BC.

You are assuming they play UCF? Not really following.

edit: read the post above. Pretty sure you are assuming UCF

While true, they will have 3 more top 15 wins if they win out.

From a SoS standpoint, if everyone wins out, the strongest resumes will be Alabama and Oregon. The B1G and ACC just aren't that strong.

UCF, barring a loss, gets an automatic bid from the AAC. If they get by Houston this week, their final 4 opponents are a combined 11-21.

It has everything to do with it in the eyes of voters. I don't necessarily agree but that's reality. The difference is unfortunately OSU hasn't played a meaningful game or real quality opponent in two years other than Wisconsin. Voters will not remove an undefeated two time defending champion until they lose

ccrunner609;1528670 wrote:but it is still subjective. "People" are giving these ranking legitimicy when it really isnt fair. bama, while good, has been handed titles by voters putting a subjective slant on the fact that they "think" the SEC is so good. Once again this year, the B1G will be handed bowl games in that their opponent gets a practical home game and have to play 2-3 rankings up in regards to conference affiliation and still hold their own. But in the eyes of the voters they are weak.
Handed Titles? I think most people would admit Bama has been the best program the last 5 years.

Subjective and unfair have been apart of the college game since its inception.
