Agreed. I am pumped. Day is dragging.CLEconomically Speaking;1511359 wrote:This is the longest day ever..
Have fun! Get that joint rocking. Playoff baseball in the house is the best. Everybody on their feet for every 2 strike pitch the entire game. Wish I was able to go.wes_mantooth;1511360 wrote:Leaving work now....picking up the kid...and off to Cleveland! Amazing day ahead!

I left work at noon to "work from home" until 3ish... Then I'll walk over to the Stadium area. I can't get anything done today, useless.

Yeah.Pick6;1511337 wrote:agreed. Average teams go .500, not win 92 games.
Like I said, they arent loaded (like the Tigers, have you seen that lineup? Wow!). But as a team they are very, very deep. No stud power hitter, but 10 guys with double digit HR (and Aviles and Giambi, bench guys, with 9) and 7 guys with 50+ RBI. If you combine Reynolds and, say, Aviles who started to play when he left you have 8 guys. Thats a REALLY deep line-up where you never know which stretch of it will hurt you in a given day.
Now, it leads to some offensive slumps because really only Kipnis has been able to carry the offense by himself. But it also means no one has that kind of pressure on them.
Heck, because of the Goon Squad, I would say this is easily the deepest team we have had since the glory days of the 90s.
As for the pitching, we have 6 above average starters. 2 #1s (Ubaldo at the moment and Masterson all year), a stud #3. Kluber is well above average for a #4, Kazmir and McCallister well above average for a #5. Bullpen has only the closer spot to worry about (unless Masterson is there) because we have studs in the 6th, 7th and 8th in Shaw, Allen and Smith.
Damn, maybe Im just fired up today, but if we win tonight I like our chances to make a run. They will need some timely hitting, but thats what we have done all year!

I hate it. Everyone knows it's a take off of 'Bama's battle cry, so why are we Ohians using it for the Indians? Sorry, I just don't get it.lhslep134;1511439 wrote:about that...

I've met Lofton on 3 occasions and never had a problem with him. He's carried probably 15 minutes of conversation with me between the 3, and autographed his rookie card for me.Pick6;1511442 wrote:Kenny Lofton is a douche bag

I didnt hear the interview but he was on 92.3 and RCF posted some of his comments. A couple were "This isn't the playoffs, they have to win to make the playoffs" and "don't compare this team to the 90s teams, we were special"...basically just shitting all over the team instead of supporting them.like_that;1511445 wrote:Why?
Like I said, I didnt hear the interview, but RCF did, so I doubt he would really post the quotes out of context to make them seem worse than they are. Maybe Lofton is or isnt right, but I dont think that's really the point. Complete opposite tone I'd expect anyone connected to the organization at all to have right now.

Omar was actually extremely gracious (in broken English) years ago signing a cap for us and chatting us up outside the stadium after a win. He pulled my son out of the way of departing players, very cordial.BR1986FB;1511446 wrote:And water is wet. He's also an asshole as are Vizquel & Manny.

I guess because we don't have anything else? I was perfectly fine with Go Tribe, but I do kinda like Roll Tribe, even if it's stolen from those Alabama f*cksvball10set;1511447 wrote:, so why are we Ohians using it for the Indians? Sorry, I just don't get it.

I think the change they should make is to have the best overall record get a bye. The other 4 play. Problem is, is it an advantage to possibly sit for over a week??
