BTW, normally I'm superstitious about the thread titles and what not, but it's the Astros. All superstition impact is gone. If you don't win, you should leave the sport.

Billy! First major league hit and it's an easy double. Scores basically walking in on the Chop single.

Secondary lead-off man does his job leading off with a double(1st MLB hit) in his first AB, and the primary lead-off man does his job for the 2nd straight time up with an RBI hit, and the Reds lead 3-0. That is why I don't like the P batting 9th.

Reds won't win 97 this year because they didn't get to play the LAstros nearly as many times in 2013!

The 3B bag robbed Billy of his 3rd straight double! But a single and a big two out RBI it is, to double the lead to 4-2.

Hamilton can't hit.

I've watched this game tonight and I'm pretty sure I've seen him get more hits in the last 2 hours than Jack Hannahan ever has...

Lol, this.

I wonder if SE will be on tonight to tell us that he's seen Billy Hamilton's stats in AAA and that he can't hit right now in the Majors.

I know people will say it's foolish, but I honestly can see Hamilton being a guy who does better in the MLB than the minors. He's going to see a lot more straight up defenses and have a lot more opportunities to pick his spots to steal. Sure, he needs to improve his eye, his contact and his defense, but those are all things he can do while getting PT in the majors.

It's absolutely shocking that anyone would argue against him getting reps right now at the MLB level. The guy has played 9 games now and has done EVERYTHING right.

The pro teams I love (Reds and Bengals) are full of star players who make dumb decisions.

Chris Welch, love him or hate him, just called BOTH out on TV...
