I thought that Dusty should have put on the hit and run when the count went to 2-1 on Cozart.

Lastros get their base-running acumen from the same place the Reds do!

Seconds after Hamilton walks to lead off the 13th, and at straight up 1am, the jewelry television feed replaces the Reds FS-O feed on my cable channel 19! Marty and Jeff say Hamilton steals 2nd again even though they pitched out. Game is nearly 5 hrs old with more than 400 pitches. Maybe Chapman will be in soon with Hamilton on 3rd with none out.

I'm still up, but do not get to see the 2 run double by Bruce to take the lead, his 3rd double of the game, and 41st of the season. He has 8 RBI in the last 2 games.

And Chapman gets the save, but not before he allows the potential winning run to get to first base.

Chapman looked rusty. Didn't have the pristine control he's had lately. He did hit 103 MPH on the gun on the last pitch though.

As for Hamilton, he's amazing. Draws a leadoff walk, his 2nd of the night (he's got no eye, eight?), steals 2nd on a pitch out, his 4th on the night (it was so obvious he was running, they pitched out and he still straight up beat the throw) and then scores the go-ahead run.

Certainly glad to see Hamilton play well. He'll obviously challenge Miggy as the best hitter in the league, and will probably record 400+ stolen bases a season. One game typically determines the arc of a players career.

Not really, but it SHOULD determine whether he gets a playoff roster spot over scrubs like Jack Hannahan, Derrick Robinson, Zach Duke or Logan Ondrusek.

Lol because that is what everyone is saying.

He has played in, what, 8 games? And to my knowledge the only negative was a strike out last night. He has come in, whenever called upon, and produced from the get go. Like Az said, he deserves a roster spot over A LOT of guys currently in uniform.

Something like that happened a few years ago during the penguins flyers 4-5 OT playoff game and people were fired up in Pittsburgh!

Good to see them pull it out...had to bail around the 11th

In response to people thinking Billy is an all-star after a good game against a AAA team, with a AA pitching staff. I can't wait for Billy to be an everyday contributor on this team, because he's exciting as hell to watch on the basepaths. I'm not sure you carry someone on a playoff roster to simply be a pinch-runner though, outside of the wildcard game.

Az & S&L, around post #15. Obviously he can consistently it Major league pitching because he had 3 hits last night against the worst staff in baseball.
