Well, a girl I work with is on the same boat as you. She called a Verizon store yesterday and was told that they would do it for her even though she still has almost a year left on her contract. So I guess you never know.

For our Verizon business account, we can upgrade 4 months early. Not sure about residential, since I haven't had to deal with them for years.

I don't think the Verizon one is true. You can try, but I don't think you can do that anymore. Back in the day, they'd upgrade you anytime, and tack 2 more years to your existing contract time. But they quit doing that.

I think it only applies after a certain date. She'll have to wait 24 months before she can do it again.

Glory - not sure if you saw my earlier post or not, but Verizon is apparently offering 6 GB a month for $30/mo (which is what we're currently paying for "unlimited"). I know... I'm not crazy about the "giving up the 'unlimited' when I'm already paying $30" too, but it sounds like that might be the only option/way to go?

Likely no. If your "upgrade" isn't until 8 more months, then you likely will not receive the promotion price of $199, until then.

I tried to upgrade today via interweebs, but they tack on this BS $36 1 time upgrade fee. GTFO

They tries that shit with me last time and told them to take it off or I walk to a competitor. Can't do that online, sao I guess I'll have to wait for the second wave to hit stores.

Yeah I remember hearing about that fee. Its basically an activation fee

Just received my 5c. Setting it up. Color choices are gay as hell. Went with blue. Would have done white, but not with black face.
