Watch Pittsburgh coming out firing and win it.

I honestly have no idea what to expect.

In years past when the team was embarrassed they came out the next week and proved a point. I am not so sure this steelers squad is capable of it. They lost three guys for the season yesterday, Center which sucks and ILB who calls the defenses out.

I just don't think the steelers have it left in them to be able to show some signs of greatness. Ben's contract, along with a few others, are catching up to this team and they have zero depth. Years past when someone went down they had the depth to step right in.

Long, long year for the steelers

One way or another, they'll come out next week and prove a point.

I just have this feeling that said point will be that yesterday was by no means a fluky bad showing by the offense. And that it will be proven big-time. And since the defense no longer is at the point where it can win games by itself, that spells out another long day.

I agree with this... also I think the Bengals defense will be out to prove a point as well after not obtaining a sack last week. With the Steelers Oline as bad as it is now after injuries and we all know how Big Ben loves to hold onto the ball I could see them going out and getting like 7 sacks. I like the Bengals by 10+.

Preseason is the preseason I know, but their offense was bad then as well. The defense didn't let up many yards yesterday, and last year they were at the top but I agree, they are not making big plays to change the outcome of games, i.e. sacks and turnovers.

When the steelers won their most recent super bowl their best offense, sad to say, was when everything broke down and ben had to scramble around to find open receivers. That is pretty much how it has been the lasat few years and when that is your most effective offense then, well, you are fucked.

I would love to shock the bengals on MNF, but man I just don't think this team has it in them.

I think we see a better showing from the Steelers but Cincy will be pissed off and play their asses off too and in the end...it'll be too much for Pittsburgh to overcome.

Steelers will have the chip....but Jesus their running backs are just worthless, offensive line terrible, receivers are not big, fast or elusive (Brown is good)....defense isn't bad at all but just do not ever force turnovers.

I do not believe Pittsburgh's offense can surpass 17 points and if the special teams don't score (never do) and the defense doesn't score (can't force turnovers).......

Pittsburgh 17
Cincy more than 17 (thinking 28)

Yeah it was pretty terrible. Didn't help that the run game was abysmal. It was just terrible football all around on both sides by both teams.

And general stupidity with things like personnel. I was reading about Redman's fumble around the Tenn goal line early in the game when they had a chance to take an early 9-0 lead (the sort of thing that can bury a bad team like Tenn).

It was supposed to be a two-back offense with Redman and Felix Jones in. Instead, FB Johnson was put in, so when they lined up, everyone on defense knew where the ball was going. There was a bad exchange, which led to the fumble, but still...that's the kind of stuff you'd expect a high school coach to get pissed off about and this is the fucking NFL.

Damn....ESPN got James Harrison.

Man that proves how much he wanted to end it as a Steeler. I said all along I would've given him another year.

Gruden 1 on 1 interview and they showed him lifting and at Kent St...then at Pittsburgh and it was all good. Showed Cowher...all good, showed Tomlin and he lit up a bit saying he was like one of us....then they showed Dick LeBeau and he couldn't speak fighting back tears before finally getting out a "miss him"

Very surprising. And I hope to hell he doesn't show the Steelers what they are missing, but am afraid he might.

He had a great steelers career, no doubt about that. He was cut and a couple of times in baltimore, cut in PItt I think. I know he got a call because a LB hurt his foot and then he got his chance in pittsburgh and made the most of it. He isnt a guy you would want to meet in a dark ally that is for sure..but man he can play football. If the steelers are smart they will do a few mis direction plays at Harrison because you know he will over pursue.

Will be there tonite....just hoping they dont get drilled too much

I'm with you. I wanted him to keep him around for another season, but that's how the Steelers roll. If they think you're done...you're done.

I don't think they'll get drilled. If the Bengals lose, it'll probably be a close, boring game like 13-7.

Talkin about the steelers dude. Hoping the steelers dont get drilled and the fans are not too much of assholes. Been to quite a few steelers/bengals games in cincy. Pretty much was cordial and such with just good natured ribbing except for once. the playoff game some jerkwad came up from behind me and punched me in the side of the head/jaw. I got up ready to go and the ***** ran across the road and ran away...fucking ******. Almost was some karma as he almost got hit by a car!

Think they are bringing back Walter Abercrombie to start tonite, and frank pollard is lining up as the FB to create some holes.

The ONLY way the steelers win tonite is if the defense scores twice or basically puts the offense into scoring two TD's and/or if they allow BR to go no huddle and call his own plays.
