Trying my luck with the thread this week.

Last week was an abomination. Hopefully the Browns can get their shit together this week and continue the pwnage that the Broncos delivered.

It's essential for a young team to have success early, but I bet the ravens are pissed after getting embarrassed by the Denver Mannings and will be back with a vengeance. I expect another sweep, secondary sucks and our offense has gone quiet.

No chance on this game. I think 0-3 to start is a pretty safe bet. That joke of a game....pissed me off royally.

Mary Kay Cabot ‏@MaryKayCabot 2m Players scarce in locker room today, but #browns RG oniel cousins faced the firing squad for 6 mins. #classact

I like that cousins man'd up, smh at the other pussies.

Also Rubin seen in a boot, expected to miss more time.

Which is still baffling. It's not like they were down 20 and had to air it out. Even if Richardson didn't gain much, at least keep the defense honest. Weeden is not a QB who can pick apart a defense without a well balanced attack.

Don't really give a fuck about the players avoiding media. Cleveland media is so dramatic and would just create more tension. They can go fuck themselves. The players should use the day off to clear their minds (if they even give a fuck).

SMH at Rubin though.

Also in addition to what I just said a bout the cleveland media, is MK taking a passive agressive shot at all the players who weren't around? Wouldn't expect anything less from that group.

What's more glaring is that they ran it 4 times on that opening drive, with success, then gave up on it. As you said, if the passing game is going to have ANY chance, they need an established ground game. If you look at the games last year that Weeden looked solid, pretty sure they had established the run.

It still baffles me that they take T-Rich out on 3rd down. When Oby is in there they are pretty much saying "hey...no chance we're running it here....it's a pass" where if T-Rich were still in there, there's the threat of a draw play.

Yesterday's offense was "patty boy ball" revisited. Run a few times and then get pass happy. It was also, for the most part, the same dink & dunk shit Shurmur ran too. Friggin' Gordon.

That pitch/sweep with Trent running was successful early on...then they gave up on it after it failed once. This O-Line is more "finesse" than it is "road grader" so most of the longer runs will probably come from sweeps.

Just baffling that they went cold turkey on the run but if we all recall, Chud got pass happy in that Cincy game that DA threw 4 picks when he should've been pounding Jamal Lewis in 40-50 mph winds. He loves the pass as that article said.

Both. If Gordon (assuming he's not suspended) is running a 9 on that first interception I bet his big, physical body is fighting for the ball, at least breaking it up instead of scrawny ass Benjamin who didn't even try. Plus Gordon being available is going to change the dynamic of the pass coverage by a Miami. Doesn't mean our O-Line will block any better but Gordon was sorely missed.

He was missed. Dearly. But chud still didn't look any different than shurmur did. Which isn't Gordon's fault

You obviously misunderstood where I was coming from. No doubt Chud's game plan mirrored Shurmur's. Just saying the outcome may not have been different but the dynamic of the game and a few things that happened in it likely changed with Gordon out.

Miami really had no legit WR threat to be accountable for which made the offense pretty predictable. Add to that, the play calling was pretty predictable...end result, hot mess.

Off topic but WTF was Decastro thinking when he took out Pouncey's knees? That almost looked intentional. Kind of a bit of "karma" with that being an attempt at a cheap/dirty block. This could be the year TheRapist gets split in half. Cincinnati's pass rush could do him in Monday night.

Ravens aren't gonna lose at home in this situation. I expect the offense to look better because how could they not, but I'll say 27-20 Baltimore.

Jones being out helps the secondary in that there is only 1 reciever that LOOKS like they could be a problem in Smith. At least Haden will be on him.

Dont expect much more out of the offense. And remember, Norv is calling the plays, not Chud.

Um I think this is going to get ugly, early. Ravens win 34-10.

Weeden 200 yards 0tds 2 INTs.
Richardson 80 yards 1 td.

Seat only gets hotter for Weeden.

If Cleveland can somehow score first and not trail after the first quarter....I think the ring ceremony stuff would be out the door.

Cleveland needed to beat the Dolphins and for every should be win they don't win....they gotta win one of these games to make up for it. Gonna be tough.

Ravens 34
Browns 16
