Colt McCoy would actually help this team. Which is sad.

With this O-Line & receivers, doubt it. His scrambling ability might help him get out of jams but frigging Little would just drop the ball.

He couldn't be much worse than what were seeing now. Can he?

His scrambling ability is exactly what they would need with this Swiss cheese oline

To be honest sat was the first time I really sat and watched Manzeil play. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. I thought that this season was going to be huge in the NFL to see if those type of qb's, running and read option, could still flourish after a full offseason of NFL D coords game planning. It almost seems like they are becoming more pocket passing oriented but still with the ability to run.

The browns will have to totally change their offensive scheme and personnel if they get him though. If they, or any team, tries to put him into a drop back passing offense I think he fails.

Guess my point was what would it matter even if he could break free scrambling? Unless he's going to run for 50 yard TD's every time he breaks away, the damn WR's aren't going to catch his passes except for maybe Cameron & Bess.

Can Chud change his offense to adapt to a manzeil? I know he was successful a number of years ago with a drop back passing attack with DA but after he left I lost track where he went.

He help Cam Newton have a solid rookie year. One of the knocks on Chud is that he usually gets the most out of a QB the first year in his system then they fall off. Happened with DA and Newton.

Wrong. Nice underhand flip on 4th down. You have to start Hoyer if weeden can't go.

Unless Campbell/Hoyer can block for themselves and catch their own passes it doesn't matter if Jesus on rollerskates is back there. We'll have the same, if not worse, result. This team (offensively) just isn't very good right now...from QB (Weeden) on down.

They said on NBC last night I think that the browns had scouts at the A&M game to look at manzeil
"It was a poor choice of words when NBC talked about it during the weather delay last night.

There were reportedly five different NFL GMs at this particular game too.

They weren't just there to see Manziel.

There were a pair of Top 10 left tackles on display, a first round LB, a first round safety, Mike Evans (who will be FLYING up mocks and boards), another pretty good QB, etc.

So, to you say the scouts/GMs were there to see Johnny Manziel is blatant pandering to the audience."

Brent Sobleski on this "news" story.

Nobody mentioned this, and I didn't want to say anything because I will be accused of just being a bitter sore loser, but I am not impressed with the rat birds at all.

Yeah.... I can't see them doing much. If cincy doesn't win the division this year... They never will

I agree.

I actually think Cincy could get homefield (if Denver slips up a lot) in the AFC like Houston did last year. They have 6 very winnable games on their schedule from the division alone. But, while I like their team, they are still the Bengals and will probably fuck up and make the playoffs as a Wild Card team lol

As I have said before, I simply am not impressed with the division as a whole.

They won the Super Bowl last year and I still wasn't impressed by them. They sucked the whole season and then the Killa announces his "farewell tour" and they get a fire lit under their ass. Browns almost beat them twice so, no....I wasn't impressed.

The only way Denver loses homefield is if Peyton gets hurt. WHen he got his feet wet last year they won out in the regular season and right now are on fire. They may slip up a few games, but I see the bengals slipping up more than the Bronsos

Yep. Two teams have fallen, one seems to be mired in a quagmire and the other might be decent, but they've looked pretty blah so far.

This year in the North could be like a couple years back in the NFC West when Seattle and St. Louis were locked in that "8-8 for the win!" battle.

Great comparison.... 9-7, 8-8 may get it done
