I just didn't think Triway did enough against WH last week that would convince 8 people (local sports writers) that they are that much better than us. I guess we will find out in a few hours.

Let me be the first Triway fan to congratulate Orrville on a big win. They executed their game plan to perfection on offense AND defense. Offense kept churning the ball on the ground owning time of possession with 1-2 punch of Owens and Zook. Defensively the Riders' coverage made it hard for Carmichael to find targets in the 2nd half resulting in wild, rushed throws after hanging in the pocket too long. Riders wanted it more and earned the victory. Now Triway must get ready for 2-0 Waynedale. Good luck to Orrville the rest of the way. You have a nice team that I think knows what it means to play Orrville football.

Nice slam on The Daily Record and Doc....They do give the area coverage when teams are successful and NOT. They give pretty damn good sports coverage. Hopefully TDR knows your are a Jackson TWP guy and dont read social media. Im sure you will get a nice story tomorrow. Hopefully you will Thank "The Disaster". Can someone tell me who on earth was running that clock over at Triway? I mean 2 plays well inside the 4th quarter and the clock just stops! Then Orrville gets he ball back and runs 2 different plays both of which only took 2 seconds off the clock? That was a nightmare!

So what was the score? I'm out of town.

Clock operator is either the best at his job or the worst...depended on what side you were sitting on. Homer job. Refs finally noticed it...just once though.

Big win fellas. I think we ran the ball close to 60 times. We've got 3 capable backs in Owens, Zook & Domer.

Need to keep working on the pass game.

On to Northwest.....remember when several of us said 4-0 is not out of the question?? We're halfway there. Schedule will get tougher each and every week...1 game at a time.

Great, great win. Still need to be very concerned about depth. One play in particular was very nearly disaster. Ritchie was starting to cramp up on D but either no one saw it or they just hoped they wouldn't take advantage of it. Well, the next play they went deep at him and it paid off. Nothing he could do, he was on the field all night and finally his leg gave out. Gotta find a way to give some players rest. As we know it doesn't get easier. Domer didn't get a lot of use...why can't he give some DBs a rest.

Would have loved to see Trevor lead blocking in the backfield when we had 4 chances at the end zone inside the 5 and couldn't punch in.

Luke had no time at all to throw the ball. It gets snapped and 1-2 guys were on him seemingly untouched. We gotta do better in that area. We HAVE to be able to pass the ball if we hope to win 2-3 more games.

BUT, the team really looked great in the first quarter. It could have been a blowout had we been able to sustain that energy. If we had maybe 5 more average varsity players we would be set. I know we have 5 kids walking the halls at OHS that could have helped this team and played a lot. What a difference they would make. Frustrating.

A nice way to break in Triway's turf.

Summers dinged his elbow in the 1st half...was defense only in the 2nd half. Played gutsy as hell though, even making a 1 armed INT. And Domer was used carefully after hurting his shoulder last week.

I agree with you about depth, but it is what it is.

Next 2 are winnable and then it's a tough 3 game stretch (Senior, WH & Ashland). Need to win these next and stockpile wins.
