I dont even care about these 2 teams, but even you as a Jets fan have to know that this would be a different game if the Bengals had really come to play.

It doesnt matter who wins this game next week. The divisional round will be as far as either one gets.

Wow, all of the Bengals starters arent playing...

Benson
Crocker

2-3 D lineman

Very vanilla gameplan, and just going through the motions...if this game meant something, do you really think Benson and Crocker are sitting? Tom Nelson, really?

Yikes. The Jets are going to be a tough opponent next week. The Bengals have been getting manhandled tonight

I hope the Bengals didn't just mail this game in and came to play. That is not how you prepare for the playoffs. I think they came to play, but they are just getting dominated.

The good news is that this is unlikely to happen two weeks in a row.

Maybe the Jets just came out amped up knowing they had to win?

Yes, I know the game won't go this way next week. I am fully expecting a close, brutal, lows scoring game. But for you to say that it wouldn't have been a question and the Bengals would've won easily is moronic.

I just turned the game on, and is there any team in the world luckier than NY right now? If I was Rex Ryan I would be playing the lottery tonight, as it is almost impossible in terms of how lucky he has been to happen to play 2 games at the end of the season against teams with nothing to play for that just rolled over.

Half the league was 7-7 it seemed, and the Jets just happen to have a pair of division winners to play with nothing to play for. Lady luck is definitely smiling on them right now.

Easily moronic?

You are resorting to name calling now?

Pretty good for the "owner" of this site to stoop to name calling because you dont agree or want to see a differing view point.

The only reason Bengal starters are playing is because of Roger Goodell.

Had he not come out and said it was bad for teams to sit starters the Bengals would have sent the practice squad to NY. Now we are losing players because the closet steeler commish wants good games for TV.

on behalf of Anquan Boldin, Wes Welker, Tom Brady, Chad Johnson, and every other player hurt in a meaningless game

Roger, you can go to hell.

A meaningless tidbit:

Jets and Bengals played two common opponents (unless I am blind and am missing someone).

Houston Texans
Oakland Raiders

Jets beat Houston 24-7.
Jets beat Oakland 38-0.

Cinci lost to Houston 28-17.
Cinci lost to Oakland 20-17.

I know it means nothing just thought it was interesting.

Jets need to pull their starters now, no sense in risking injury

Goddell is considering rewarding teams who play their starters in "meaningless" late season games by giving them draft picks.

Maybe moronic wasn't the best choice of words (though I wasn't calling you a moron) but I stand by my statement. Given the way the two teams matchup I find it to be a moronic statement.

Yeah, compensatory picks for a game that you simply have to "play"
horrible idea.

Goodell grew up a steeler fan while living in New York. Also he attended college in Pittsburgh where he applied for a position within the organization.

Also he was personally championed by Dan Rooney when Tagliabue decided to quit.

It is all documented. No secret

Closet Steeler commish? I'm a Browns fan and even think that's the most retarded thing I have ever heard.

Why didn't your "Closet Steeler Commish" fix any of the games for PIT to get in? A Houston loss and one other game would have sealed that deal.

Roger is a dick, but it's not a conspiracy.

ewok said conspiracy, I never indicated such.

It is a matter of dollars nothing personal. I made mention of Goodell's fanboy status. It screwed the Cards, Pats, Bengals, and probably the Eagles and Cowboys. I doubt either team would have played a full deck today had he not made a point about there being a problem

So you question the commissioner of the NFL's integrity because he grew up a Steeler fan???? And he attended college in the 'Burgh and applied for a job with the Steelers???? Holy shit!!!!! That means he must be fixing things for the Steelers!!!!

Hey, Mr. Rooney also lobbied for a rule that would require teams to interview one minority during coaching searches AND he was a big Obama supporter. He's a closet white person hater too.

Paranoia, paranoia!
