Thanks for making it clear about OSU and SEC teams. You first said the SEC all backed out of their games, then you wrote something different. Didnt they have 3 SEC teams on future schedules and all 3 fell apart? But let me guess, it was never OSU's fault. I would love the buckeyes to play the teams from down south who always give buckeye fans/teams a hard time. With Urban as a coach, OSU should try to fix their negative past and put it on the field. Scrap the MAC and sucky Pac teams and play the big boyz.
Give the tOSU program a call when "the big boyz" of the SEC are willing to do a home and home, not a neutral site game. Currently not an option "the big boyz" will accept.

I'm wrong? Show me a big time game (one between traditional powers who are currently good as well) that was scheduled only a couple years in advance. Yes, home and homes with lesser schools can be scheduled on shorter notice (4-5 years), but typically the big traditional powers schedule far in advance and then fill in the cupcakes later on.

Sorry I was only partially right about the SEC games OSU had scheduled. Of the two I remember, Vandy backed out (last year I believe) and Georgia was a mutual decision to cancel.

But all of this is irrelevant.

You came on here trying to denigrate OSU for a "typical" schedule hat doesn't involve tough games and then I provide proof to the contrary and you try to make it more about how OSU doesn't schedule big games on short notice. The fact is OSU does schedule quality opponents, but they also have cupcakes just like anyone else.

I was asked to show him a big game scheduled on short notice. I gave a list. And I just read on another thread on here where Wisc plays LSU twice and the first game is next year. Those were just scheduled. Guess they didnt need 10-15 years in advance ;)

Then take it to that thread. Unless you care to express YOUR TEAM'S EXPECTATIONS, kindly GTFO.

Then tell me why the SEC top dogs are refusing offers for home and home series with several of the better program in the North.

For someone correcting people, thats not 3 teams who scheduled a year or 2 in advance. Bama, lsu and uga arent playing themselves. The teams playing them scheduled on short notice too. Duh.

I'm looking for reasons, the facts are not in dispute for those of us who aren't 12th man on the deal team.

Those aren't home and home series. What you listed are kick off classics which involved a 3rd party helping to facilitate the scheduling so they can be done in less time.

Secondly, these games usually involve SEC teams playing in the South (neutral game my ass).

Thirdly, this discussion about how the normal time frame to schedule is completely irrelevant to the real point which is you claimed that OSU typically schedules no one, which is obviously false as I pointed now you are just trying to divert attention.

And as far as the thread, what's your expectation for your team?

Michigan, 10-2. They will lose 2 of the following: Notre Dame, Northwestern, Ohio State Michigan State. I expect them to beat MSU though, so you could even take them off the list.

Ohio State: Undefeated regular season. Be in national championship game unless they have a couple bad wins (like last year vs. Indiana, for example) that causes them to be leapt in the standings. Right now, I don't know if I look at them as a legit championship winning contender or a team that will get exposed as being there because the Big 10 overall is down and they have a soft non-conference schedule...I'll worry about that while watching them go against teams this year.

Ohio: They'll win their half of the MAC and wind up finding a way to lose in the championship game, for that is the way of life. But they'll still make a bowl and look to make it three straight bowl wins under Frank the Tank.
