For OSU, I expect them to be in the national championship or bust. B1G is down, easy OOC. No reason they shouldn't go undefeated. Not sure if I expect them to win, yet. Fuck it, yes I do. Fuck the SEC.

As for my Zips, I am hoping for 5 wins this season. They drew one of the toughest schedules in the MAC and face two conference champions in the OOC plus Michigan. High expectations considering they have went 1-11 the past 3 season, but I really feel Bowden is going to make some noise after a year to settle in. Lost a lot of close games last season.

I expect UK to go about 4-8, maybe 3-9, with 4 absolute ass beatings in a row coming starting week 3 vs Louisville, vs Florida, at South Carolina and vs Alabama.

With that said, lots of young talent, Freshman and Sophomores, and a culture change that hopefully builds toward the start of the best run in school history next year. The schedule, while never easy in the SEC, does get a bit easier next year.

I think ND goes 9-3/8-4. I think they lose to Stanford, Michigan and Arizona State. Defense should be stout but Tommy Rees is....well, Tommy Rees.

Ohio State - undefeated and going to the National championship game. Playing Alabama I'd expect to be competitive, playing anybody else I'd expect a win.

I expect the Bucks to destroy the B1G and then win the NCG in such dominating fashion that the entire sports world unanimously agree that this is the best CFB team of all-time. The Heisman, Lombardi and Butkus awards are all won by Buckeyes and Urbie is COY.

...very moderate expectations.

This. Confident they make the national title game. Not as confident they win.

Florida State- My expectation is that we don't lose to some shitty unranked team again this year. I think they will lose to either Clemson or Florida this year. I just really want them to kick the shit out of the Gators this year after the loss last year. If they lose to Clemson hopefully they still can get an at-large spot for a BCS game.

Isnt this a typical schedule for OSU every year? Must be nice to have a paved road to a BCS game before the season even starts. Then OSU will get slammed because they're not used to playing good competition.

From 247 sports
Since 2007 Ohio State has played 3 top 10 regular season teams:2008- OSU 3 USCw 35- L
2008- OSU 6 Penn State 13- L
2009- OSU 15 USCw 18- L

0-3
In bowl games since 2007, they have played 4 ranked teams:
2007- OSU 24 UF 38
2008- OSU 21 Texas 24
2009- OSU 26 Oregon 17
2010- Bowl Game forfeited due to cheating

1-3
- They have not played a top 10 team since the 2010 season.
- They have not played a top 10 team in the regular season since 2009
- They have not played a top 10 regular season conference opponent since 2008
- They are not scheduled to play a top 10 team this regular season. It will be the 4th season in a row they failed to do so.
- They only played three ranked teams last season (#20, #21. #20).
- They are only scheduled to play one top 20 team this season (#17)

OSU has OOC cupcakes like every other school does.

But OSU has been one of the more aggressive schools as far as scheduling two game series with top notch OOC teams (Texas, USC, Miami even though they were mediocre at the time, still a big name program and no way in predicting that they would be where they were)

And the OSU OOC schedule has more big name future games such as VT, Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon.

As far as conference games, OSU can't help if the conference is down, but that's a cyclical thing. No one stays at the top forever.

LOL... Who gives a shit about the forfeit? They won on the field against the mighty SEC. Arkansas can count the "W" all they want.

Fly4Fun,
Yes, lets give props to OSU for top OOC games played over 7 years ago! Why have they went on a 7 year break?
Earnest Bass,
Not even arkansas claims the win. No one has a win for that game and OSU still is 0-10 or 0-11 vs the SEC in bowl games. So yes, Im guessing the SEC is "mighty".

Well, technically, they can't count a "W", since when a game is ruled a forfeit, it just doesn't "officially" count as a win by the team forfeiting. The loser doesn't get a win, though.

But, yeah, regardless of what the NCAA or university agreed on as part of the program's punishment, on the field Ohio State beat Arkansas, so bringing that game up as a way of illustrating Ohio State's futility against good programs is just Full Retard. lol.

They had Cal and Washington. Washington was completely terrible, but a once good program. I'm not sure when Washington as booked (pre Gilbertson/Willingham collapse or after that), but I think they were schedule when they were a middle of the pack Pac-10 school. Like-wise, Cal was scheduled when they were a top 4 Pac-10 team and then they fell off as well. I already mentioned the Miami games, those were scheduled before Miami started their slump. And the USC games were also in the period you are questioning.

Also, if I recall correctly OSU did have a few SEC games scheduled for the near future but the SEC teams eventually backed out of those.

It's a complete fallacy to assert that OSU doesn't schedule hard OOC games. Yes, they have the cupcakes like everyone else, but they do try to pick up tough teams as well. Problem with college football is that those big OOC games are scheduled 10-15 years in advance, and it's impossible to predict how good teams will be.

Alot of big OOC games are scheduled 1 or 2 years in advance. And aLot of OOC games are scheduled within 5 years. Big games are being picked up all the time with short time span. Does OSU schedule some way down the road, yes. But do they have openings or cupcakes (that are already scheduled) they can fill in with tough teams-yes.
And did all the SEC teams back out on OSU for fact?
And why is it, PSU, Wisc, and Michigan have no problem scheduling top SEC teams?

OSU was actually supposed to play Vanderbilt this year, but Vandy backed out of the arrangement.

I believe another was a two game series set up with Georgia. But the two schools never were able to agree on what weekends so it was mutually canceled (neither officially backing out).

And no, you can't just set up big games in a short time span (or at least that's not how it works for major schools). They set up a schedule far in advance and then fill in the empty slots with cupcakes that are eager to fill in for the pay day. Any big OOC games are always scheduled well in advance and not just thrown together last minute.

You are Very wrong on this ^. Alot of neutral site games have been getting scheduled lately on a 1 or 2 year notice. And alot of home and homes have been scheduled within a 4 or 5 year span from when the game is scheduled and from when the game is played.

Thanks for making it clear about OSU and SEC teams. You first said the SEC all backed out of their games, then you wrote something different. Didnt they have 3 SEC teams on future schedules and all 3 fell apart? But let me guess, it was never OSU's fault. I would love the buckeyes to play the teams from down south who always give buckeye fans/teams a hard time. With Urban as a coach, OSU should try to fix their negative past and put it on the field. Scrap the MAC and sucky Pac teams and play the big boyz.
