They are hit or miss. The ones that seem to be better are those that cater to people over a long period of time and need repeat customers, like many of you are talking about. There are some in places that know that you don't have much of an option, and realize if a short period of time you are gone and never coming back. Those seem to be very over priced, and not real good!

I heard that the Po' Boy Shrimp Shack that used to be at Patterson/High in Columbus is now a food truck.

That place is legit. I used to go there all of the time.

Just got back from the food truck fest. The fiancé had the 15 hour smoked pulled pork from the truck that looks has a cop and stuff on it and it was 7/10. I had a grilled sandwich from grub box that had pulled pork and Mac and cheese and was a solid 8/10. Kinda disappointed that the best two trucks in Columbus were not there ( Ray Rays and Myas Fried Chicken). F4F if you want the best food I recommend skipping the fest and going down high street to clintonville. Behend Ace of Cups is Ray Rays Hog Pit which has the best BBQ in Columbus and if your lucky to get them their Burnt Ends were as good as any I had in Kansas City while I lived there. Then drive another 1/2 mile or so north and on the right next to a convience store is Myas Fried chicken which is melt in your mouth good. Those are both 10/10 and pretty damn perfect.

Homage is at the fest though with some shirts on sale for only $20 instead of the usual $28. If you decide on the fest I recommend either the hungry monkey truck, island noodles, or Mikey late night slice. If you do late night slice have a slice of cheezus it's two slices of your choice with melted American cheese I between them. Also try the slut sauce.

I'l have to try Ray Ray's some other day. I was there last night and tried OH Burger, which was pretty good I thought. We're going to go back today and try that Island Noodles as that seemed to be very popular.

I love food trucks. Spent a good deal of time in Portland for work and the food truck culture is huge there. Some amazing food coming out of them.

By noodles from Carribean I assume you mean Island Noodles? That place was excellent, the chicken was perfect and noodles were great. Some of the vegetables left a little to be desired, but overall great.

The line was worth the wait in my opinion. It was also pretty fast moving despite it's length just because they were just continuously cooking in the giant wok.

I still remember when I went to this event two years ago (I'm pretty sure it was the first year of it) as most of the trucks were either running out of food or operating so slow people eventually would just leave.

It was definitely a much better event this year.

I was kind of surprised how many ppl were there. But it was a nice day and alcohol being served is all you really need.
