The team that played better won the game. People who blame the refs for losing a game are annoying as hell. Unless of course it's a case like Green Bay and Seattle last year and this wasn't even close to that level.

The Pac-12 Conference has reprimanded the officials in Saturday night's game between Wisconsin and Arizona State for their actions in the bizarre closing seconds.The Pac-12 said the officials did not act with enough urgency or properly administer the end of game situation when Wisconsin quarterback Joel Stave awkwardly took a knee and the clock ran out on the Badgers in the ensuing confusion.
''This was an unusual situation to end the game,'' Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott said. ''After a thorough review, we have determined that the officials fell short of the high standard in which Pac-12 games should be managed. We will continue to work with all our officials to ensure this type of situation never occurs again.''

Looks like all the e-White Knighting of the refs doesn't change the fact they didn't properly handle things from their end. Can't really say whether the Wisconsin players were at fault too, as I was beyond blacked out by that time of the morning, but it's obvious the refs weren't correct in their handling of things.

The refs fucked up. They were reprimanded. The complaints are warranted.

Yes the refs fucked up. That fuck up was not the main reason wiscy lost the game. Wtf is so hard to understand about it?

It is though, because Wisconsin had the 3 plays scripted. Center the ball, spike the ball, kick game winning field goal. They were exactly where they wanted to be.

well the refs stopped them from kicking a dead center chip shot field goal to take the lead as time expired....yeah id say they are the reason.

But it was the reason they weren't given the chance to win it.

Like Web said, you get 40 min to win. The refs took their chance and were punished less than 48 hours after. They fucked it up, not Wisconsin.

He was upset at a few reporters and some fans who were critical of him the previous week. Needless to say the dude is a ticking time-bomb. He's been called out for his crazy antics, his consistent team meltdowns in games, and verbal abuse of players on the sidelines. Not to mention after every loss he places all blame on the players.

Wetzel can write whatever he wants. It has less to do with the cursing/ranting and more to do with the fact that he commented on leaving. It's been speculated by many that he doesn't like it at Nebraska and is just waiting for the opportunity to come up to leave.

If you're administration, why support him if you know he isn't happy there, and wants to leave anyway? He will finish out the season and take the first train out is my guess.

I did not say they didn't. Of course they did, they did not correct the mistakes that the players made on the field by taking corrective action.
