5 of the top 10 "most played" games on Steam are FPS games, and that doesn't take into account the Battlefields since they aren't available there.

I admitted CS had a comp scene so those numbers mean nothing to me. The comp scene for COD on the Xbox and PC aren't even in the same galaxy. Games like battlefield aren't either. Also, please tell me you didn't include DayZ as an FPS.

It's only groundbreaking because you're comparing it to BF/COD/Halo.
To PC gamers, it's just a rehash of older games. I'm not knocking console gamers per se, it just seems like this game is unnecessarily getting credit for being innovative.
Not saying BF is the best ever etc, but really, substitute a tank for a titan and the strategy is the same. the game isn't ground breaking or impressive, its just different. There are still shotguns and knife attacks from behind in Titanfall. After a few days of playing, it will look just like every other FPS. and its only 6v6 with bots correct? how is that impressive? not saying it has to be 32 or 64, but 12?

Glad to hear what you said about the new Rayman. After spending the holidays binging on newish and oldish Nintendo stuff (3DS, Wii), I got re-hooked on Mario games and want to expand my library of mascot platformers. I'm playing the latest Rayman game and it is becoming one of my favorite platformer games of all time, up there with the old Super Mario World and Super Mario 3. It's not groundbreaking, it's just another platformer done very well.
Titanfall is just another FPS with some extra elements when compared to BF and COD. Based on the beta, it was done very well and is very fun. I've probably played every FPS since Goldeneye, and Titanfall is 'impressive'.
If you only buy/play new 'groundbreaking' games, you'll probably not be playing anything at all.

Just finishing up for the night, got to play for about 2 hrs, no server or connection issues, everything was perfect on that end..having a lot of fun with it..
