Have Titanfall on the way next week -- I'm pretty pumped to play the full game...I haven't been this excited for a FPS since COD4 probably (although I've enjoyed the last few battlefield games).

yeah I agree. just from what I saw with the preview it didn't look like anything special. just an upgraded Mech Warrior game.

I played the beta and it was incredible, I don't know how to describe it you would just have to play it. The most fun I've ever had playing a fps online by far.

The beta is awesome I will be waiting at midnight for it to come out

I think game changer was the wrong phrase but it's definitely the most fun I've had playing a FPS in years.

I think it's hard to describe why, but the game was just FUN.

Battlefield is great and one of my favorites, but there are times when games last a long time, playing with strangers isn't as fun because the game requires some teamwork, you can go a decent stretch with not even seeing an opponent, etc.

Sometimes you just want to get in some quick games and blow stuff/people up. This used to be Call of Duty for me, but the past couple years the game just pisses me off and isn't even fun. I'm good at the game, but there is just too much cheap crap, etc.

Titanfall feels very familiar and you can just jump right in...You can jump and climb and go rooftop to rooftop with ease, it all just works and feels natural. IT is 6 v 6 with bots (which don't as much to your score as kililng another 'pilot'). So, you are pretty much constantly shooing at stuff. Then every few minutes you get a Titan, which is a blast. There are times when there are several Titans in the game, which is awesome, but then you also have other 'pilots' going rooftop to rooftop trying to climb aboard your titan and they can ride on the back and shoot at you, etc.

Might try out the demo, but I don't necessarily have high hopes. Climbing on walls isn't all that exciting to me.

What demo are you talking about? There was an open beta a couple weeks ago for a weekend. I'm guessing that is where all the buzz is coming from. Hope this helps.

I played the beta on PC, and I'm glad I did. I will now save $60.

It's a lot better than BF3. New patch yesterday. I haven't had any crashes in a long time.

I've played a ton of FPS's and I've never experienced anything close to that Titanfall beta. There is a ton of hype behind it but anyone who played that beta knows that it is warranted.

Games don't always have to be 'ground breaking' to be 'impressive'. It's getting harder and harder for a game to be groundbreaking at this point because pretty much everything has already been done.

If you only buy/play new 'groundbreaking' games, you'll probably not be playing anything at all.

+1. Its a very fun game, definitely better than the latest BF and COD titles.

I think that's the problem... Games like this come along that are "different" and everyone renowns them as groundbreaking.

It's only groundbreaking because you're comparing it to BF/COD/Halo.

To PC gamers, it's just a rehash of older games. I'm not knocking console gamers per se, it just seems like this game is unnecessarily getting credit for being innovative.

PC FPS games aside from CS are dead(competitively speaking at least). Titanfall will easily be the most played PC FPS. We aren't saying this game is the fucking greatest of all time. We said it was very fun. Im not getting what is so hard to accept about it.
