I liked it. Also, just saw 42 tonight on VOD...not bad...thought Harrison Ford was excellent as Branch Rickey.

Depp is great, but I see him getting into a rut with these same tytpes of characters (i.e. Jack Sparrow, tonto). I'd like to see him go a different direction because I think his range is great. A more literal character or something.

I read somewhere that they are making another Alice in Wonderland with him as the Mad Hatter role again.

Thanks for reminding me that I downloaded 42 and need to watch it, totally forgot.

I'll tell you guys what movie NOT to watch: Spring Breakers. Don't ask me why I was watching it, just know that you should never, ever watch it.

The Conjuring was real good but I'd see the Matinee or something because all of the 13-15 year old girls just screamed the whole damn movie

I didn't look at previous posts, but did anyone see Warm Bodies, and what did you think?

I thought it was pretty lame but my wife loved it.

Leo and Matt Damon are for sure 1 and 2 on my list of best actors of this generation.

Just tried to go watch The Conjuring. It was sold out, which I couldn't believe, especially since I got there about 20 minutes early.

Looks like I'm gonna have to deal with the teenager crowd tonight, but it sounds like the movie might be worth it.

Yeah I haven't had one friend tell me it wasn't a great movie. I might go check it out tomorrow.

Agreed on Depp. He's a great actor. I think he often gets overlooked due to the complete strangeness of many of his roles.

I'd say DiCaprio, Smith, Damon, Bale and Depp. In that order.

If we're talking the generation before that, I'd say DeNiro, Pacino, Day-Lewis, Washington and Hopkins. With Morgan Freeman right there.

Watched The Conjuring. I was definitely impressed.

I usually don't think that most "scary" movies are truly scary, but this one is, at least in my opinion.

I would add Denzel and Philip Seymour Hoffman to this list

So-so. I was hoping it would be funnier, but the comedy kind of fell flat. But it was a different take on the zombie apocalypse, so somewhat interesting if only mildly entertaining.

At first I was like WTF, but it turned out to be really good. 42 is a very good movie, as is Trouble with the Curve. Saw the remake of Evil Dead...pretty bad. Finally saw Oz, the great and powerful. Franco was annoying early on, but the movie is very good.

Thanks...I saw all of these except Evil Dead, and had pretty much the same opinions as you did.

Watched The Truman Show for the first time ever this weekend. Really enjoyed the film. Loved how they didn't credit the actors at the beginning, so it gave/set-the-film-up for a "this is really a real reality show" vibe. Thought Jim Carrey did a phenomenal job. He was funny, but he wasn't too over-the-top [like he can be]. Also... how hot were Laura Linney (Truman's wife) and Natascha McElhone (Truman's love interest)?! Two very seductive ladies!

I wouldn't call warm bodies great, but it wasn't bad. It was one of those wife picks that I wanted to hate, and after a few minutes I was like WTF, but it kinda grows on ya so it isn't bad.

Watched "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone". Felt like other Steve Carrel (and Jim Carrey) works where it's not nearly as funny as I hoped but still decently entertaining.
