I'm going to guess that you somehow read into what I said and maybe supposed to that I had a group of people that I have questioned, carefully examined and aligned some sort of principled analysis to them.

I would add #4, which are Obama fanboys/girls who are incapable of ever being critical of Obama and thus they conveniently change the narrative to single payer, because that is what the media is telling them to do now.

Health insurance wasn't reasonably affordable before Obamacare. Premiums have been rising on the same trajectory for years before and after the legislation's passage. I don't believe Obamacare is the best we can do, but it was a first decent effort at tackling the takeover of our healthcare by the insurance industry. This is pretty much like saying "the Browns have been shitty at the QB position for the last 20+ years, but at least they drafted weeden/manziel." Like Obama or not, he doesn't get to escape criticism after all the bullshit he fed us for 8 years regarding Obamacare. What brings the must lulz is the people who went wacko over Obamacare and Obama's healthcare rhetoric are now trying to convince everyone that Obama's plan all along was for it to fail so eventually when he leaves we can move onto single payer... I don't see the comparison. Drafting a QB is required if you want someone to take the snaps; there's nothing innovative to it. Obamacare is a dramatic effort at fixing an insurance-beholden system. No president in my lifetime has taken similarly bold steps to address this. That was my point. Something needed to be done (QB situation/healthcare needs to be fixed), so a QB was was drafted (obamacare passed). I'm on to the progressive bullshit of "moving the needle", and you should be too. They've done it with healthcare...they're trying it with the 2nd amendment. They don't care if it works as long as it advances the long term goal.

Health care was on an unsustainable path for consumers and the government. Inflation in healthcare was rising faster than anyone could affford and the government was spending more in default protections for insurance companies than it could afford. You had to do something about the uninsured. Free market, open lanes isn't going to address that. We can't afford free market healthcare. Better jump on board bc it's coming. It's not going back. It can't go back. We can't afford it.

I am all for progressive movements, but the so called progressives in this modern day and age aren't progressive anymore and that's why I call them regressives. They want to shove down their ideology down everyone's throats while also disrupting their livelihoods, even when they know they are most likely wrong. Case in point is how dems handle poor black communities. They don't do shit for them and haven't done shit for them for 50 years, yet they still find a way to perpetuate racial divide and get their votes.

The philosophy of the enlightenment and our Founders recognized that and formed a country based on limited government. It is a regression to assign more control to government at the expense of liberty and personal responsibility. The big problem is that some people have no clue... And a lot of the "educated" people are more familiar with the philosophies of Marx and Engels than they are of our own history.

The problem with millenials (my group) is such a large portion compared to other generations go to college and are not only taught from a liberal viewpoint, but sheltered from hardship.
