And yet our solid Republican governor embraced it. Too bad I don't think Kasich jumps in the race cus I think he could actually win. He has way more charisma than people give him credit for. I think he will be the establishment pick in 2020 though when the GOP has accepted the reality of ObamacareQuakerOats;1706384 wrote:Yes --- the success stories keep rolling in .... http://dailysignal.com/2015/02/17/one-nebraska-woman-lost-health-insurance-three-times-obamacare/
the comments after the article are quite telling, and confirm what we all know: obamaKare is the largest legislative and administrative disaster in the history of nation, and by a landslide. Not only will it not do what they told the public it would do, it will also eventually ruin the greatest health CARE the world has ever known.

All three forms of socialized medicine! Congrats on enjoying the fruits of collectivized ownership and control of the means of production Belly! Thankfully we live in a country that would never permit an old timer war vet who has been disabled serving his country to have to shop in the individual private, for-profit health insurance where no private business would be willing to insure your health!Belly35;1706324 wrote:I have Tricare, VA and Medicare .... for over 40 years I worked and paid for my family insurance never asking for anything... now it's my time to collect ...mofo

The Obama administration says it sent about 800,000 HealthCare.gov customers the wrong tax information, and officials are asking those consumers to delay filing their 2014 taxes, Fox News confirms
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/02/20/obama-administration-sent-800000-healthcaregov-customers-wrong-tax-info/
So, they have either ruined or made vastly more expensive health insurance for tens of millions of Americans; they are on track to ruin health care; they are exploding costs for taxpayers; now they have the IRS involved fucking the rest of it up.

And when they are done torturing us with this law, they will pronounce that the only solution to fixing the federal government abomination is the holy grail of Single Payer. Yes, the ends justify their means and they will fix the crisis with more government intervention.QuakerOats;1706861 wrote:The Obama administration says it sent about 800,000 HealthCare.gov customers the wrong tax information, and officials are asking those consumers to delay filing their 2014 taxes, Fox News confirms

Y'all shouldn't be surprised, though. It's exactly what the originators wanted all along. Today's pain requires tomorrow's cure...which will be anything but a solution. Oh wait... they will just create more electrons to pay for everything!! It's so easy to spend money that doesn't exist to create nirvana.

To be fair, the subsidies are based on what people anticipate their incomes to be. My understanding is many people received further credits - make a few thousand more or less and that's going to swing your subsidy several hundred dollars in either direction.QuakerOats;1728928 wrote:http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/05/14/senate-panel-probes-obamacare-aid-confusion-as-customers-learn-owe-irs/

Yeah, all Obamacare has really done is to add people to Medicaid and sign-up others who had their insurance canceled. I'm not sure why anyone would consider that a success. Hasn't really done anything for costs.
Mainly it appears to have moved the freeloaders from free ER care to free Medicaid, at the expense of roiling coverages, doctors and hospitals for millions of others.

It moved freeloaders from the ER to Medicaid at the cost of about a TRILLION DOLLARS. But hey, we can print our own money so that's a drop in the bucket.gut;1729532 wrote:Yeah, all Obamacare has really done is to add people to Medicaid and sign-up others who had their insurance canceled. Another round of massive premium increases on the way ......the biggest lie/disaster ever heaped on We The People rolls on....
"Dozens of health insurers selling plans under ObamaCare have requested hefty premium increases for 2016, according to preliminary information published Monday by the White House.
The insurers have cited higher-than-expected care costs from customers they gained under the ObamaCare's coverage expansion and the rising cost of prescription drugs and other expenses as reasons for proposing the increases, many of which are in the double-digit percentages.
Among the market leaders, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking a roughly 26 percent premium increase, while plans in Illinois and Florida, among other states, are asking for hikes of 20 percent or more. In Pennsylvania, Highmark Health Insurance Co. is asking for a 30 percent increase."

I know they played some shell games with a govt guarantee/subsidy, that I believe expires at the end of this year....but it sure seems like pricing may have been fraudulently suppressed ahead of the 2014 election (liberal media tried, unsuccessfully, to pretend like it was working and a success).QuakerOats;1731936 wrote:Another round of massive premium increases on the way ......the biggest lie/disaster ever heaped on We The People rolls on....

The sad and funny part about this SC issue...the language is fairly plain, and was clearly put in intentionally with the idea that it would force states to set-up exchanges to receive the subsidy. It backfired, and now Obama is trying to shame the Court into not doing its job.

- Audit finds 22 of 23 taxpayer-backed ObamaCare co-ops lost money in 2014
- More paying ObamaCare fines as subsidies go to people who don’t exist
And another round of 20-30% premium increases coming this fall.
The disaster rolls on ........

[h=3]Internal Audit Finds That Nearly All Health Insurance Co-Ops Are Losing Money.[/h]The New York Times (8/15, Pear, Subscription Publication) reported that an audit by Health and Human Services Inspector General Daniel Levinson found that 22 of 23 federal insurance cooperatives established under the Affordable Care Act lost money last year, which “might limit the ability of some co-ops to repay start-up and solvency loans” totaling $2.4 billion “and to remain viable and sustainable.” According to the Times, Andrew Slavitt, acting administrator of HHS’ Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, said his agency “has recently increased the data and financial reporting requirements for co-ops,” placing six of them on an informal watch list.
