I'm sure they do. But for some reason creating an account with them doesn't seem too appealing.

Piece of shit website. I tried twice, and I am NOT duplicating answers. But nonetheless...

Important: Your account couldnt be created at this time.

Please note that two or more answers to the security questions cannot be the same. You must provide distinct answers to the chosen security questions.

You should sue them; you are obviously being denied your rights.

Good luck.

I'm convinced Quaker literally spends his days copy and pasting links from right wing emails and pasting them here.
“I actually made it through this morning at 8:00 A.M. I have a preexisting condition (Type 1 Diabetes) and my income base was 45K-55K annually I chose tier 2 “Silver Plan” and my monthly premiums came out to $597.00 with $13,988 yearly deductible!!! There is NO POSSIBLE way that I can afford this so I “opt-out” and chose to continue along with no insurance.I received an email tonight at 5:00 P.M. informing me that my fine would be $4,037 and could be attached to my yearly income tax return. Then you make it to the “REPERCUSSIONS PORTION” for “non-payment” of yearly fine. First, your drivers license will be suspended until paid, and if you go 24 consecutive months with “Non-Payment” and you happen to be a home owner, you will have a federal tax lien placed on your home. You can agree to give your bank information so that they can easy “Automatically withdraw” your “penalties” weekly, bi-weekly or monthly! This by no means is “Free” or even “Affordable.”
Sheehan went on to point out that the site makes you input all your personal information before giving you an indication of the costs, meaning a database of the “uninsured” is being built. He added that he could not afford to pay the premium so would have to break the law and pay the fine, leaving him with no health care coverage."

And Harry Reid and barack obama say NON-NEGOTIABLE.

It appears returning to 20th century "technology" might be the answer:

1. Don't use the internet, just the post office. Snail mail to the rescue!
2. Keep your money at home and out of banks. Or find "secure" banks like the rich Washington fat cats in the Caymans.
3. Toss the cell phone in the pond and install a land line.
4. Give your laptop to the Goodwill store.

At least it would make the tyrants work harder to steal your money :)

Considering the fine is stated to be 1% of income or $95 (whichever is higher) right on the damn health care website, this "example" apparently is Obama himself at $400K/yr

Still can't get access to the Ohio exchange site. Not surprised, our government has the uncanny ability to fuck up everything that it touches.

I expect there will be a lot of anecdotal stories of winners and losers. Most of that is completely unintentional, which is why this clusterfuck should be delayed a year.

That is completely expected. Heck, that's not even necessarily an indictment or failure of the gubmit. Something like this is never pulled off seamlessly.

No, the disillusionment will come from all the 20-30 somethings 30-40 years down the road (probably much sooner) as the ponzi scheme of US entitlements collapses. I can only imagine the irony of them wishing they could go back in time to vote these clowns out of office in favor of those evil Tea party jihadists. European style socialism wouldn't be at all popular here if it had the European-style taxes to go with it. Something will have to give because neither the tax base nor the tax rates are there to support these entitlements.

Most of my 20-something close friends are Libertarian and hate both parties. However, it does seem a good chunk of young people I know voted for Obama for mostly emotional reasons like "Oh he wants to help people get affordable healthcare, how is that a bad thing" or "Obama is cool because he likes basketball and hip hop" or "Obama supports women and gays". I actually live with a roommate who's hard core Obama supporter and she doesn't have a clue as to what is actually happening. She still buys the line that Republicans are only out to ruin Obama and that's why our country is still an economic disaster. SMH.
