Just play it on easy....very forgiving

Just ordered my copy of The Last of Us...Had to beat Tomb Raider first, and I knew if I got this game before finishing Tomb Raider, it would be hard to resist, and I hate having 2 single player games going on at once....(Tomb Raider is great, by the way...Up there with Uncharted IMO).

Just came back to say that this game was freaking amazing.

A few of my memorable gaming moments:

-Playing a lot of the old NES sports games (tecmo bowl, blades of steel, etc.)
-Super Mario 3 and Super Mario World
-Non-stop Toejam and Earl coop with friends
-Trying out an N64 for the first time at KB Toys, then getting one months later
-Shenmue on Dreamcast
-Call of Duty 4
-Skyrim
-The Last of Us

It was seriously that good.

If you are on the fence or one of those people that wait for games to hit the bargain bin (I usually do this), just get the game and play it ASAP.

I played through on the normal mode for about 60-70%, then switched to easy because I’m only able to squeeze in 1-2 hours or so of gaming a few nights a week…I don’t care about the the additional challenge in a game like this, I just wanted to see the rest of the game and didn’t want to spend time replaying a battle multiple times….effing clickers/bloaters.

I finished it over the weekend. One of the best I've ever played.

Played both Shenmues and loved them, can't believe they never made the third.

I know I'm late to the party, but I just finished "The Last of Us" tonight. I thought it was a very solid game; the perfect mix of storytelling & game play. While I haven't played GTA:V yet (that's next on my 'gaming' agenda), I can definitely understand why TLoU was IGN's 'Game of the Year.' TLoU (for me) is a notch below Metal Gear Solid 4 as 'best single-player' game I've ever played, and the only reason why I'd probably separate it from MGS4 is because I felt like TLoU ended rather abruptly. But there's no denying the perfect marriage of graphics, plot, game play, and control - all rolled into one - that TLoU comprised. Not too many games are able to capture the totality of a video game quite like TLoU did.

So...

Apologies for being late to the table, and yes I tried searching for an existing thread, but apparently "the, last, of, us" are too "common words" to search & return results on. (The searching on this site really does suck, but I'm not going to rag on this site as I'm pretty grateful for it.)

I'm waiting on it to become a little bit cheaper before I buy it. It's been out awhile and it's still about $45.

Anyone purchase the "Season Pass"?
Btw... the single-player DLC "Left Behind" is officially out (came out Feb 14th).
I've read that "Left Behind" adds about 2 hours, or so, of extended game play.
It's suppose to tell the backstory of Ellie and her friend (http://www.gamespot.com/articles/coming-of-age-in-the-last-of-us-left-behind/1100-6417768/)
"Left Behind" runs $14.99, while the "Season Pass" costs $19.99. The "Season Pass" includes "Left Behind".

I know I want "Left Behind," but what I don't know is if I should spring for the "Season Pass" (i.e., is there enough value in there to justify the $5 difference), or should I just purchase "Left Behind" as a standalone and save the $5.

I don't know anyone who has this game and plays the multi-player online part, so I really see no need for that. Just not sure if they're talking about putting out a second single-player DLC.

Anyone purchase "Left Behind" or the "Season Pass"?
