Another HR or bust game. At least Bailey has some A stuff tonight.

Justin Masterson now with a 3.68 ERA, Bailey down to 3.47.

The Reds whole rotation would WIN!

BP did not need to dive!

Great play by Lutz!

BP's offensive WAR should go up 1.0 after today's game.

McAllister still at 3.43, Bailey getting closer to the rotation though.

Far better? Lol, this ain't still his rookie year when he looked like a potential stud. A somewhat/marginally better player? Maybe, just because we're talking about Parra.

Parra shouldn't be in the majors. Period. Anyone is an upgrade. That was my point. Parra has a career 5.19 ERA and unfortunately, because his left arm throws the ball, he's on the roster. It's pathetic. What's worse? Parra's previous years were on the Brewers, where the Reds (and everyone else) beat his ass. Why turn around and sign him?

All true, but I still don't know that Duke would be any real upgrade. Like replacing a pile of cow shit with a pile of horse shit, it's still shit. I mean, Duke's numbers this year were abysmal (22 runs, 20 earned in 20.2 innings). And, more importantly than anything else, HIS W.A.R. IS NOT EVEN POSITIVE!!!! THINK OF THE W.A.R.!!!!!

EDIT: In a fun note, Duke's best career W.A.R. was in 2009, when it was listed as 2.0. This year, he led the National League with 16 losses. Advanced stat metrics for the win!
