BTW, Cueto to the DL with a strained lat.
Good call on the over!

Villareal just ain't ready for the show. You had to know that it was going to go down like that today. Thought he would have made it through 4...but he was just getting drilled.

That ball was mashed. The two reds killers woke up. And now are killing the reds. Villarreal was awful.

I wasnt expecting good, but you'd think our AAA starters would be better than 'fucking terrible'

I agree 100%. But this kid shouldn't even be in AAA. He's getting shelled there, too. Dude needs to be in Pensacola.

I have no facts to back this up but it seems like the rockies own us. I could be. Completely wrong, could just be because of all the homers tulo and cargo hit against us.

Rockies were 1-6 over the last 2 seasons including game 1 of this series.

Rant time.
1. Cueto's injury is the same as it was a month ago. It's a lat injury that is DIRECTLY RELATED to his delivery. It's an injury that won't ever be 100% until he eliminates the motion that aggrevates it. It could "go" at any time, and while he might be able to recover within a week, that's meaningless if he misses a key game or God forbid, another postseason game.
2. How stupid were the Reds in handling this? Apparently, Cueto told them he aggrevated the injury after Friday's game. While they hadn't DL'ed him, they knew it was possible he may miss a start or be pushed back. Greg Reynolds, 6-0, 2.65 ERA (former Rockie farmhand) pitched LAST NIGHT. Tony Cingrani pitched SUNDAY. Armando Gallaraga (who has plenty of MLB experience) pitched MONDAY. All 3 of those were better options, and instead, they GIVE THE GAME AWAY.
3. Dusty is to blame as he calls all the shots. Blame him for every loss and no credit for wins.

Why not let Gallaraga or Reynolds start over Villarreal? You bring up your WORST STARTER in AAA to face the top run scoring team? No brains.

Yet they knew of the injury Friday night. At that point, you re-adjust the system to protect a possible missed start. Who cares if you ruin Villareal's consistency in AAA.

Even better news. Maybe Manny Parra will take a line drive off the face after he allows 8 more runs.

Dusty will say the bullpen is completely unavailable for the cards series.
Should have given votto the day off today since it was basically a give up game.

When "unavailable" last night. Thom is somewhat calling them out on the broadcast.

"Somewhat" isn't enough. He needs to be DRILLED by the Cincinnati media; and he will never be.

Joey Votto, 4 for his last 31. In the last 12 days his AVG has gone from .361 to .323.

Ouch.
Not to mention Choo has been in a Bruce size slump.
