Toledo police kill man holding shotgun

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -- Toledo police say they have fatally shot a man who was holding a shotgun on a woman.


It happened at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday when officers patrolling the area came across the man holding the gun on the woman at a home.


WTOL-TV ( http://bit.ly/18k2FYC ) reports that the suspect refused to drop the weapon as ordered by officers, and then pointed it at them. That's when they fired at him.


Four adults who were at the home were detained for questioning. The relationship between the man who was shot and the woman was not immediately clear.


Officers are still investigating.
