I agree 100%, and that's why I find it hard to believe that this was his first offense--there's no way he gets suspended for a year if this was the first time..no way!

Sigh. What I was trying to say, is that I find it odd that an athlete can test negative (at any level) and not be punished by the NCAA, since they have a rule about it.

Has nothing to do with Spence specifically, but rather the odd way the rules work.

That's what many figure. Then he ended up dressing that last couple games which made him "eligible" again. Oh well. Doesn't matter at this point. It's just disappointing for it to go down that way.
