If Stauskas could play any defense at all he could be the NPOY...he's awful

Impossible to even play good defense in the paint anymore.

If not for Stauskas the game would already be over

Michigan needs to do something other than shoot 3s.

Not based on conference performance. The ACC was the better conference this year, especially at the top. The reason there were so many competitive games in the Big Ten this year is because there were no standout teams at all.

Michigan is just letting MSU do whatever they want, on both ends of the floor.

BUT, even you said Virginia had a remarkably easy schedule.

Now, I agree that Michigan doesnt deserve it if they lose.

Virginia did have the easiest ACC schedule and I do not refute that. However, Virginia took care of business in the ACC Tournament and beat Duke in the final, one of the teams they had only played once in the regular-season. That's all the confirmation I need to know that Virginia was the best in the ACC.

The B1G was 9-8 head to head against the ACC, has a higher conference RPI (2nd vs. 5th), and is projected to get more bids (6 to 5). So the better conference statement is debatable at best.

Assuming a loss today, Michigan will still have 2x as many top 50 wins (10-5 record to Virginia's 5-4), and most likely 3 more wins against tourney teams.

Virginia beat Syracuse, North Carolina, Pitt and Duke, the teams that finished 2 to 5 in the ACC, as well as everyone else in the conference but one. Virginia is a worthy champion of the best or second best conference in college basketball this season. That argument is up for debate with the Big XII.

At the top, however, it's not debatable at all. Virginia, Duke, North Carolina and Syracuse are a stronger group of teams than what's at the top of the Big Ten. To that point, Virginia beat Wisconsin, Duke beat Michigan, North Carolina beat Michigan State and, for good measure, Syracuse beat Minnesota and Indiana in impressive fashion, destroying the Hoosiers.

Michigan plays little defense..If they aren't hitting all their 3s, they could get beat by someone early in the tourney.

Wisconsin beat Virginia by 10.

Minnesota and Indiana, huh? That's like pointing out that Michigan beat Florida State and OSU beat Maryland.

I'd say they are average on defense. I think it's less about defense, and more about not doing anything else on offense when they are missing 3s. Like today. They won't do anything but hang around the perimeter.

Virginia did not beat Wisconsin, which is exactly what I meant but just didn't convey that thought clearly enough. Lol. My mistake on that.

The only reason I mentioned Syracuse's wins is because you pointed out that the Big Ten had a 9-8 head-to-head record against the ACC. Well, the majority of those wins came in games between teams that are irrelevant at this point in the season. Duke and North Carolina, who finished in third and fourth place in the ACC, respectively, each beat one of the teams in today's Big Ten final. I think it's more accurate to look at how the conferences performed against one another at the top than at the bottom.
