Well he may have had issues in the past, but the Pats have stuck with him, as far as talent goes I can't imagine anyone saying "no" with respect to that. His college stats are there, and physically many NFL teams had him as #1 in their QB pool. He seems to have managed being out of trouble since being a Patriot, and at his compensation the Pats could have easily moved him. Not a Pats fan, but I trust Belichick on this.

He should make the switch to TE/ FB. I would expect him to get some goal line carries
