Alright you amateur thread starters, this is how you get the Reds a W.

Dusty sucks.

Votto is the GOAT.

Reds lose 5-2.

How about a fucking win? Geez. One thing I'm worried about is this team on the road. Unfortunately, Leake and Arroyo have showed why people considered them WEAK. Offense or not, you can't give up 6 runs through the first 4-5 innings and expect to win in today's pitching-dominant era.

Worried about Cingrani tomorrow. The Nationals bats have come alive and Cingrani is due for a "new starter" type of start.

At least the Reds were able to score more than 1 run today. But they still couldn't come through with the clutch hitting (fucking Cozart).

They can't lose every road game left...can they?

To be fair, Cozart hit that ball hard that Span ran down in the gap. I'm not real worried about Cingrani, but the offense needs to come alive. I think they showed signs of coming out of the slump today with hard hit balls that were right at people. Reds win, 9-2.

That's a good point.

Looks like a slight shakeup in the lineup.
Choo 8
Cozart 6
Votto 3
Phillips 4
Frazier 5
Bruce 9
Paul 7
Miller 2
Cingrani LHP

It cracked me up that Dusty has always refused to bat Votto and Bruce back-to-back because he doesn't want two lefties in a row late in the game. Yesterday in the seventh, the Reds had Bruce, Paul, and Hannahan due up. Good call there, Dusty.

Dusty's hand was forced when Heisey went out with the hamstring, and his outfielders on the bench were both left handed! Or should he have put Frazier out there instead, who he was trying to give a day off and hasn't been out there for quite a while?

My point being...with Bruce, Paul, and Hannahan all due up in the 7th...the Reds actually started a slight rally. So the argument against batting lefties back-to-back is dumb.

Detwiler already above 50 pitches here in the second. Would have been nice to see this in the previous three games.

Cingrani uses 3 96 mph fastballs to get his 4th K of the inning, against LaRoche, to extricate himself from a jam and preserve a 4-0 lead!

@Reds:
Cingrani joins Nuxhall, Soto, Birtsas and Frankie Rodriguez as Reds pitchers with 4 strikeouts in an inning.
