Love the bracket for State and they should have the crowd in every session considering they couldn't see Duke or UNC until Sunday.

Duke/State in the finals. Not sure Gottfried can't beat K in Gboro with how dominant Duke has been there.

The ACC is so bad this year. Miami should walk through this fairly easily.

Miami won't even make it to the championship game and you can take that to the bank!

I don't think any ACC team can make the championship game much less win one.

Had the All-ACC Team posted, but had to delete because the formatting was a mess.

Posting it again now.

From all the **** sucking of Ryan Kelly, you'd think he was the MVP of the NBA. 18-0 with Ryan Kelly! It'll be 18-1 at best come April.

Simply posting facts. Ryan Kelly played in four-and-a-half games this year in the ACC. Had he played in more, he probably would have earned higher honors in the league. Why?

Here's what Ryan Kelly did in four-and-half ACC games this season:

PPG: 21.3
RPG: 6.4
BPG: 1.0
3-PT: 16-of-25 (64%)
FG: 28-of-48 (58%)

And he did all that despite playing just 18 minutes against Wake Forest and 19 minutes against Clemson and averaging just 28 minutes per in the four-and-a-half games total. Bottom line: Ryan Kelly is as good a forward as there is in the country.

Before Rasheed Sulaimon hit a wall in the last few games of the ACC season, I think he definitely was on pace for ACC ROTY -- in his last matchup against ACC ROTY Olivier Hanlan, Rasheed just dominated the B.C. freshman, scoring 27 points, shooting 10-of-15 from the field (including 4-for-4 from downtown) and dishing out three assists. As Bernie Mac's character would say in Above the Rim, he gave him "bumps."

I have no problem with Eric Green as ACC Player of the Year. He was unstoppable this year offensively. Any time you can lead the nation in scoring, you deserve any accolade that comes your way.

First post :) Erick Green should have been POY, good choice IMO. Just got tickets to Saturday session of ACCT, hoping for a 3rd Duke-Carolina game. Picking another Duke-Miami matchup in the final, just don't think NCState is consistent enough to advance that far. Miami will gag in the final, and Duke will hoist another ACC title trophy :)

After Carolina got hammered in the Dean Dome last weekend, I'm not so sure I want to see Part III on Saturday. However, if Carolina can recover from the loss to Duke, it looks like it's gonna happen because I just don't see Duke losing on Friday. Obviously the Heels can play much better than they did last Saturday, but Duke is very good and they're much more experienced. Coach K puts a great emphasis on the ACCT, and Roy certainly does not, so that probably doesn't help matters either.

If I had to guess right now, I'd say it'll be Miami and Duke playing on Sunday, with Duke winning its 20th ACCT Championship. Hope I'm wrong.

I actually think N.C. State will play for the right to hoist the ACC championship trophy on Sunday afternoon in Greensboro. The Wolfpack has sucked all year for the most part relative to their level of talent, but they do have talent -- a ton of it -- and even in their worst of worst years, N.C. State always brings it at the ACC Tournament. Besides Duke and Carolina, they've played in more title games than any other program in the ACC over the past decade. Three times the Pack has reached the championship, in 2002, 2003 and 2007. History says they will perform well.

I look for State to knock off Miami in the semis and then play Duke or North Carolina for the championship. If Duke can get by Maryland -- which will present all kinds of problems with how big their frontline is with Len, Padgett, Mitchell and Shaq Cleare -- I just fear having to play UNC a third time after embarrassing them on their home floor. Beating a team three times is not an easy task.

Nice to see another Duke fan on board. Now if we could just get Trinity back...that'd piss off a lot of people. And not sure whatever happened to keane. He was a good poster. I remember when the college bb forum on the Ohio High School Huddle used to be more than half Duke threads :D

Thanks Rec! Have my tickets for the Saturday semifinals, hopefully it will be Duke-UNC, or at least Duke, or I wasted my money, hahaha. While NC State definitely could knock off Miami, and I hope they do, I just think they are too inconsistent and aren't going to have the run they had last year in the NCAAs and don't see them making the final of the ACC. Totally underachieved this year, Gottfried is a great recruiter....that's all.
Miami is playing like they were "supposed" to according to the preseason rankings, losing games they should have won. I can't see Carolina knocking off Duke this year, should they meet again. Duke-Maryland does scare me though, hopefully Maryland will get knocked off Thursday :)

Eh. I don't post very often because my employer blocks this site now. But I do monitor on my phone. I haven't seen any reason to post this year. Duke fans are holding their own. Prescott has behaved himself. Sleeper is ignorant. But I am here in spirit.

Headed over tomorrow and Friday night. Fingers crossed the Heels get knocked off ahead of saturday to submarine ticket prices. That friday night session is already $$$ and I know the second half of that game will be brutal with all the Heels fans coming to root on their team and denigrate the devils.

When ever I think of the ACC tournament in Greensboro, the song "Its's the most wonderful time of the year" rings in my head. It truly a holiday around here and everyone has a blast. Can't wait to get it started.

Go Duke.
