PJ Hairston suffered a shoulder stinger, and then somehow sustained a gash on his hand that was bleeding profusely before he was taken back to the locker room. Probably gonna need stitches. Carolina absolutely HAS to have him against Maryland tomorrow.

Other than that, very good effort from the Heels as they beat FSU, 83-62.

Where have all of the duke fans gone? Guys, it is just a tournament conference loss and means little to nothing.The dukies got beat by a team that might make the NCAA tournament only if they win a couple of games in the ACCT.They were motivated. Nothing has changed for duke. They will still get a #1 seed or the #2 seed out west with Gonzaga and UCLA, which defeated Arizona last night, but lost Jordan Adams ,who scored 24 points in the victory.It is all good.

Duke fan here. Last night was just so frustrating to watch. IMO Plumlee is a grossly overrated and this coming from a Duke fan who has watched him 20+ times this year. He just looks lost at times and defensively I feel he should be swatting shots more often. Two times last night he let MD guards just take uncontested layups, seriously dude you're 6'10 and can jump out of the gym. And now he seems to be catching the ball 10 feet and out more & more often which I very much dislike. Thankfully though he won't have to see Alex Len again.

As for the others...kudos to Sulaimon for getting back on track, that's huge for this Duke team. Kelly looked kind of sluggish and couldn't buy an outside shot, that'll happen some nights. This week off should help him recover a bit.

As for my main key and focus, Seth Curry and Quinn Cook. These two, and Duke for that matter, play so much better and with energy and enthusiasment when they have that cockiness/swag/arrogance to them. Say what you want but it's true, and you can definitely notice it from Curry/Cook. They need that right from the tip in the NCAAT. Come out playing and knowing you're the best and they are much more successful IMO.

While Duke can and does get exposed at times I believe this team is Elite Eight and better depending on the bracket and potential matchups.

Seeing now that he is still a game time decision. I didn't get to see any of last night, not even the Dook loss, so I can't say anything about the game. But I was very glad to see them win by a comfortable margin. I thought the Dook loss on Senior Night was going to be devastating for this team. But for them to come out and take care of business like they did last night makes me rethink that sentiment.

State, despite a mediocre, middle of the pack ACC regular-season, would come alive and play like the '86 Celtics and reach the finals. So far, they are on course to do just that. Scott Wood looked like Larry Bird yesterday against Virginia.

And Maryland presented the perfect storm for Duke: size and everything to lose. A loss and Maryland's NCAA hopes would have been taken off life support. They simply wanted it more. It was a horrible matchup for Duke.

The Blue Devils are now a two seed (I said heading into the conference tournament that Duke needed to win at least one ACC game to get a top seed) and will now play a team with great talent in a 15 seed in the first round. If Duke gets Iona, the season's over by Friday.

They would have been had they won the ACC. Whether you think they are actually that good or not is really irrelevant to the situation. The resume Duke would have had would have guaranteed the the top overall seed for the Blue Devils. All of ESPN's experts agreed. Not now, though, of course.

Duke should be a two seed after that performance last night.

Gonzaga, Indiana and Kansas have pretty much locked up ones, in my view. If Louisville beats Syracuse tonight, the Cardinals have the fourth one seed. If Louisville loses, I suppose the fourth one seed is still up for grabs between Louisville and Duke and Miami. Michigan State might also be a possibility depending on what happens today, if they reach the finals of the Big Ten.

Maryland has returned back to Earth, I see. Haha. What a joke. I honestly am glad that UNC has poured it on them early. Maryland's only accomplishment this year is beating Duke. They deserve no part of the NCAA Tournament.

Miami will be a tough game for either of these teams tomorrow. The Canes played great today.

Maryland to the NIT. That honestly made my horrible weekend better. I wasn't cheering for UNC, but I am delighted that Mark Turgeon and his boys are riding the bus home.

Carolina and Miami for the championship tomorrow.

Only got to see bits and pieces of the Carolina game today, but I'm glad they held on for the win. 24-9 right now, but a tough matchup tomorrow with Miami. With a win, I think Carolina can get to a 5 seed. With a loss, probably a 6 or 7.

If Miami wins, they will be the ACC Champion, the first place finisher in the regular season, and they will have split with Duke. I know there are many other factors to take into consideration, but I think the Canes might be favored over Duke if there is a one seed up for grabs.

Duke might benefit from being a 2 seed anyway. I guess we'll find out tomorrow night.

Mason Plumlee got exposed for his softness against Maryland's front-line, which as a fan, I refused to let myself see until it hit me in the face yesterday evening. Maryland was just too big up front, as I feared would be the case.

Again....Duke will go up against some cat somehow related to Harold Arceneaux in the first round and lose in similar fashion.

Plumlee got abused by Len in the first Maryland win. Plumlee is at his best with a smaller defender or in transition.

If Stephen f Austin gets a 15 instead of a 14 they could definitely beat duke. They are a tough small school and they sub like hockey lol it's crazy. Every 3-4 minutes they bring in 5 new guys

If Duke is a #2 seed, which I think they are (but not quite sure that the committee agrees), I still believe it could benefit them depending on which region they're placed. Obviously no #16 has ever won, but there's no way that Duke is gonna lose to a #15 seed two years in a row. I'd love it more than pretty much anything, but it just won't happen. If their #1 seed is Indiana, then yeah, it's not a good draw. But if they somehow got Gonzaga, then maybe it's not too bad after all.

Oh, I am fully aware. I just refused to believe it because I want to believe in my team. Plumlee dropped 30 on N.C. State, which has a top flight front-court. But the more the season has gone along, the more that performance seems like an aberration. Plumlee is about as intimidating as a snowman. He looked like a pogo stick last night trying to grab for rebounds. Be physical, get your ass into somebody and check the fuck out. I mean, it's not rocket science. He's just soft.

In order for that to be of any benefit to Duke, they would have to first get there. With Plumlee regressing as much as he has, it's not going to happen. Maryland dissected Duke's extended pressure on the perimeter and scored all day long inside because Plumlee plays like a p***y. And since Coach K is not going to divert from his philosophy of overplaying the passing lanes and since Plumlee is not going to experience puberty before the tournament, I'm shit out of luck against an athletic team that can get to the rack.

Duke played lights out in Chapel Hill. They laid an egg in the ACCT, which is very unusual and could be cause for concern, but I'd say they'll end up being okay. This tournament is gonna be wide open, so unfortunately, they have a chance to be right there at the end.

Good things will happen. Plumlee will be pivotal in the first two rounds....Curry will go off in the sweet 16 game and Duke will dominate as a team in the regional final.....I'll stop there to avoid ruining it for you.
