Please post here if you would like to join this. It will start Selection Sunday. Since there is only going to be a day or 2 to get this done, this will require you to check this regularly to make sure you make your pick. So please do not join if you don't think you'll check regularly.

It's going to be $10-20 per person, which will be sent to a Paypal address. Please post if you would like to play without paying the entry fee, as there may be a way for you to still play.

Usually just drafting players from the top ranked teams works out pretty well, but this year is going to be a lot more difficult.

Also, I know last year we didnt make it a requirment to pick early. But once we get the 20 people (or however many) we can start picking. I think we got a full round or more in before the Selection was over on Sunday. Obviously you want to know match-ups and this year is even crazier so we might not get as far. But Id say we start it right away, without penalty for late picks, asap.

^ I agree. I can think of probably 15-25 players off the top of my head that I would draft without knowing the match-ups.

I actually enjoyed this so much I'm getting a bunch of my friends to do it as well. We also do one where 8 of us pick 8 teams in the tournament and get points for each win based on their seed. So say a 12 seed goes to the sweet 16 you get 24 points. I love March Madness way too damn much, lol.

BTW, I can for sure HELP run it this year. I just cant be counted on 100% like last 2 years. I got a promotion (woohoo /humblebrag), but it has been a slight increase in hours. I still get my schedule on Thursdays, so I will know for sure how often Ill be on and able to help the Thursday before the tourney (aka, in about a week).

If it starts on a weekday then I should be good, but sometimes I don't check in on the weekends. (unless I know when it's coming)

The biggest weekend we will need you for is Selection Sunday after the brackets. We try to get a move on from 7pm-midnight.

But then, Monday until Thursday at noon is the rest of the picks. So you should be fine.

As for this year I agree matchups will matter a lot but there are still some great players out there who people will want to take regardless of matchup.

Yes, literally the clock can start when the brackets come out. If there was a time for everyone to have the ability to check the boards, that Sunday evening would be it. First game that would count is Tuesday, what, 7 PM? Picks can still be made after that for players who don't start until Thursday. I know last year we counted the play-in teams, which could be a strategy if you think one of them will have a chance to advance out of the first weekend.
