I'd say the general concensus between everyone is the CoA and like_that are pieces of shit. I'm not sure why some of the name calling isn't dealt with though.

It's a bad infraction. It should reversed and the ban should be lifted.

The only thing I hate is if it's reversed, there going to thing there bitching caused it to happen and they are going to thing they've "won" or something.

And no one can sit here and honestly say his pattern of posting (especially of late) didn't warrant one, the straw that broke the camels back being flimsy notwithstanding.
To normal posters we look dumber reversing it because on the whole it was deserved. Their fellow shit stains will bitch for a few days, but it's a vocal minority.

Reversing it would be stupid, and I would never even bring up the idea of reversing another mods decision. Justin selected mods because he trusted their decision making. What's done is done, reversing it will only make things worse. It's not like he doesn't deserve some time in the Basement.

I think something along the lines of reminding people that it is fine to be a dick in the basement, just don't do it else where. I think we've been very lax recently with a few posters as far as their behavior outside the basement.

Just generally, whenever someone is given an infraction, it's at least discussed by a couple mods in the mod forum before it's given, unless it's an obvious infraction. I just think this could have been avoiding had there been a discussion about it first.

I mean just look at the past 2 days at the vastly differing opinions on this between us all, of course we're wildly inconsistent.
You've got Fly (and me generally) on the strict interpretation side with them, on the other end wildcats apparently would prefer just giving them mod powers on the Browns thread, and everyone in between.

As se poitns out, for some reason CoA and Like_that tend to get away with a lot.
It's one thing give an infraction to SoS, Tiernan, Isadore, people generally hated by everyone. It's another to give an infraction to one of the people in the little club that defends each other.

There's more posters that get away with just as much as like_that and CoA, such as Lotz, etc. I just think because you don't like the two of them, you pay more attention to what they do and don't get away with. There are others that give just as much shit as they do and nothing is done about it.

I tend to stay away from ND threads, so I don't notice Lotz's behavior for that reason. Generally the only times I go on ND threads if I'm directed there by a reported post complaining about tiernan or sleeper.
But in general (can't recall any specifics) I have noticed Lotz has been more hostile lately.

Lotz has his moments, but on his worst day he's nowhere remotely close to the level of CoA/LT. I'd suspect lotz gets away with it more because it's not constant (in fact it's not very often) with him

But if he's allowed to get away with it at all, then you have to let like_that and CoA get away with it as well. You can't allow one to do something, and then infract someone else for doing the same thing.
