I felt much better with Riddick in the backfield than Wood all year. If Cierre wasnt ripping a 40+ yarder, it was going to be a minimal gain. Plus, Riddick provided a lot more versatility not only in catching out of the backfield but actually motioning into the slot from the backfield.

Wood is a loss, but its not that bad. He seemed to have checked out of the season a while ago anyway.

Taking out each players longest run in every game Wood averaged 4.43 YPC and Riddick averaged 3.96 YPC. I'll take your guys word for it considering you watched ND more than I did obviously, but I always thought Wood was the much better back and didn't know why he didn't get more touches. The off the field stuff makes sense, but a home run back who averages 6.5 YPC is pretty dang good. Even taking out his 50+ yard runs he still measures up better than Riddick.

Also, as I just typed that I had it as Ridfuck due to typing on my phone and I lol'd. Almost left it but I have no hostility towards him, just thought it was funny.

Patterson and Hunter will be solid WRs at the next level. Dont know why, but for some reason I probably watched half of Tennessee's games this year. Their best WR was kicked off the team.

Completely agree. Good post. Theo will be missed more than Cierre.

Saw he was projected to go to Miami in the draft. That's why he's staying. Don't blame him if that is the reason.

Even if that is the reason that is pretty ballsy. Already a Top 10 or border line pick there isn't much he can do for his stock but there is plenty that could hurt it and potentially lose him some serious money.

Only difference is Long didn't lose any draft spots because of his decision. He seems to be more of the exception than the rule. It seems lately like the guys who are projected high picks and end up staying have only hurt their draft status.

If he runs up against Clowney again, he may go undrafted.

yeah I thought Clowney was pretty quiet and controlled by UM's line until that hit he had. Its not like he abused Lewan on that play either, he was given a free pass into the backfield.

The 2 big plays Clowney had weren't even Lewan's assignment.

I watch football. Not hard to figure out. In fact the "big hit" was even discussed on TV. Lewan went second level right away and the TE was supposed to crash right to block Clowney. TE did not do that. The other big play Clowney had was similar situation.
