lol you are comparing ray lewis and calvin johnson to a 21 year old josh gordon. Just stop.BR1986FB;1462135 wrote:Younger players these days are nothing more than jock sniffers. They all want to be "seen" with the big stars like Lebron. You didn't see guys like Ray Lewis or Calvin Johnson (like Greg Little & Josh Gordon) flying down there so they could cheese it up with Lebron on Instagram. Today, they are all "boys" (i.e. tight) and, for the most part, don't have the same competitive streak that guys like Magic or Jordan did.

Not "butt hurt" over Lebron leaving. He was entitled to leave if he wanted to. I'm sick of our local players swigging from his junk acting like fan boys while taunting our fanbase with it.wildcats20;1462163 wrote:Lol you are so butt hurt over LeBron still. Move on man.

All are pro athletes. If it helps, you didn't see Magic running to Jordan's post game celebrations to be seen.DeyDurkie5;1462168 wrote:lol you are comparing ray lewis and calvin johnson to a 21 year old josh gordon. Just stop.

Call me butthurt, but I am on BR's side with this issue. The culture of athletes these days is just pathetic. Gordon needs to grow the fuck up, plain and simple. The worst part about it is we have this culture where we have to coddle and cater to every athlete so we don't hurt his feelings and he leaves. It's fucking annoying. The Browns have a long way to be a consistently good team, but I hope one day they are good enough to have a successful system no matter who is playing. That way they can be just like the patriots and tell players to fuck off if they think it is all about appeasing them.
If Gordon produces, it will solve everything, but let's be real here. The team hasn't won more than 5 games since 2007. Gordon hasn't done shit yet to act like a complete fuck head.

In addition to what I just said, they are not naive enough to think they wouldn't recieve backlash for talking about the heat. They knew damn well it would get a negative reaction, and they kept pushing the buttons. They are only kidding themselves if they thought nothing would come out of it.

Precisely my point. Go off to South Beach and win your rings, Lebron. Good for you but I sure as Hell don't want some player (Gordon) who can't even keep his nose clean shoving it down our throats, antagonizing us with it. This isn't about Lebron. It's about these younger athletes being jock sniffing little bitches. Have a little self respect for godsakes.like_that;1462186 wrote:In addition to what I just said, they are not naive enough to think they wouldn't recieve backlash for talking about the heat. Guess I'm butt hurt too. I dont expect Gordon to be courtside of every Cavs game or behind home plate at every Indians game, but the kid doesn't need to try and piss the city every chance he gets. This city/Organization drafted you despite being a POS in college and not having your act together. Supported you, gave you a fat contract etc. As a man in the media representing Cleveland, I dont think "not being a fucking douche bag" is too much to ask. I dont see Joe Thomas or Bess out there acting a fool trying to swing on LBJ's nuts. Sure there is an age gap, but there is really no reason for it.like_that;1462185 wrote:Call me butthurt, but I am on BR's side with this issue. The culture of athletes these days is just pathetic. Also count me in on BR's pussified athletes mentality these days. I dont see KG hamming it up with the CHeat, I dont think TT or Josh Gordon needs to be doing it either. Bandwagoner mother fuckers.

Not only that, but Gordon has done NOTHING. 800 yds in the NFL and he thinks he's arrived. Man you POS, get out there and prove you belong. I dont want to see another dropped TD pass in Indy this yr, ESP after getting suspended for 2 games. Total dipshit that needs a wake up call. Sadly I think he'll be off the team after this yr. Another Leon IMO, without the productive 1 yr.BR1986FB;1462189 wrote:Precisely my point. Go off to South Beach and win your rings, Lebron. I'm with BR too. I DGAF who Gordon supports. I DO GAF that he wants to rub it in that they won, to fans of the city he plays for. How dumb is that? It just proves to me that he's a moron and will never learn.

Exactly my point. People gave Lebron shit when he wore a yankees hat to the indians playoff game, and Lebron was coming off a run to the finals. If Lebron didn't get a free pass, does anything think Gordon will? LOL.Commander of Awesome;1462197 wrote:Not only that, but Gordon has done NOTHING. 800 yds in the NFL and he thinks he's arrived. So a guy who does not produce much and keep clean enough to do the job he is contracted out to do wants to tell the fan base that he is a front runner and idolizes a class A douche as a human being who is more talented than most anyone on earth but needs DWade and a large supporting cast to help him to a title? Not impressed.

I just figured that LeBron liked to align himself with front runners, Cowboys, Yankees, Heat. I grew up with a family that took me to local sporting events and watched local teams on television. Maybe that does not occur with these players that don’t have a family structure.like_that;1462205 wrote:Exactly my point. I'm in between the two competing groups of thought on the issue. I have no problem with athletes being around other athletes off the field, you just better be damn sure that it doesn't affect a single thing on the playing field. Take CP3 for example. Please excuse the war analogies but he is a field general who won't quit until he's "dead", but off the court he's buddies with those guys while being able to maintain the killer instinct.
If Gordon partying it up with those guys has no bearing on his playing then I'm okay with it, especially when it's someone from a different sport (ie Gordon and Lebron). That being said, I AM skeptical of anyone that says that being friends with competition has no effect. I still hate some of the rival kids I competed against in HS, so I understand where you (BR, COA, like_that) guys are coming from.

I see both sides too, what I don't understand is the fact some here don't understand the "fuck those guys," stance. This isn't an attack, because obviously we are going to differ on views (also we aren't pussies in this thread, so we don't need to worry about butt hurtness), but I just don't get how the other side can't accept our side.lhslep134;1462245 wrote:I'm in between the two competing groups of thought on the issue. I can't speak for other cities, because i only give a fuck about Cleveland, but it seems like ever since Lebron put on a cavs jersey Cleveland has developed this "oh we must cater to all our players or they will QQ and leave
So, excuse me for telling players like Gordon/Taylor/Little to go fuck themselves when they symbolically give us the finger despite the fact we show them love every fucking sunday when they (the browns in general) have produced TWO winning seasons since returning as a franchise.

I think it is safe to say the majority of cleveland fans (including the front office) bent over backwards to keep Lebron happy. Everyone was afraid to really insult Lebron despite the fact he had some douche tendencies (although not as blatantly obvious as they are now). What the fuck did our coddling get us? Absolutely nothing. Despite all the love and coddling, he still was a fucking POS and shit on the city of Cleveland on national TV. To make matters worse he went to a fucking city (actually might as well just say state) with the WORST fucking fans in all of pro franchises.
So, excuse me for telling players like Gordon/Taylor/Little to go fuck themselves when they symbolically give us the finger despite the fact we show them love every fucking sunday when they (the browns in general) have produced TWO winning seasons since returning as a franchise.
Second, I'm sure Bellichek would have been absolutely fine with his players going off on their fans through twitter/instgram.
Honestly, you think a NE fan would be cool with the Pats players partying it up with Lakers/Yankees fan then telling the fans through twitter to get over it, and basically GFY?

I am sure boston fans would love if they saw gronk celebrate a yankees world series title and threw it in their faces. He produces though, so no big deal.
