That was trolling. I'm talking solely about the partying with Lebron thing.like_that;1461233 wrote:Retweeting "the fake art modell" isn't ill advised? GTFO.

Gordon was trolling on Twitter. He and Greg Little are nothing more than bandwagon fan boys looking for their faces to be "seen" like some freshman high school kid who gets lucky enough to be invited to the "seniors" party. They aren't exactly household "names" so hanging with Lebron gives them the feeling that they are "A Listers."lhslep134;1461377 wrote:That was trolling. I honestly believe that guys like Little & Gordon are trying to "idiot" their way out of Cleveland. By "idiot" I mean trolling the fanbase or acting stupid because they probably don't want to be here. When free agency comes up, if the current regime doesn't cut their azzes before, they can say "look how the fans treated me....I'm outta here." Call it crazy but even they can't be so naive to not know they're pissing off the people that support them.

1) how they're acting, the Lebron thing in and of itself, is representative of a sh*tton of young, black athletes today.
2) you sound like the perturbed nerd is who irked that some freshmen are hanging out with the seniors

3) it's incredibly pathetic that some browns fans actually still care that their players are rooting for a player on a different cities team in a different sport.

Yeah especially considering EVERY SINGLE AFRICAN AMERICAN ATHLETE ROOTS FOR LEBRON.
This isn't a disrespect thing. These guys just root for Lebron. Period. You're all trying to take it further than that and it's incredibly stupid.

It's ok to root for whoever you want. I have no problem with that. It's not ok to rub it in the faces of the fans who root for you. There's a difference.

Just finally looked up his tweets. Y'all can find me at the champions parade on the winners float.
Oh the humanity. Then his retweet of Phil Taylor's "ima still love Cleveland in the morning #gobrowns" man look at em rubbing it in our faces!
Lol come on man

No doubt there are but only a handful of them are playing in CLEVELAND. You don't antagonize your fanbase unless you are looking for a way out and some major backlash.lhslep134;1461467 wrote: 1) how they're acting, the Lebron thing in and of itself, is representative of a sh*tton of young, black athletes today.

I think Taylor's tweet, which he erased, was something to the effect of "no wonder nobody wants to play in Cleveland' (or something to that effect)....hence my comment on Little & Gordon looking to act like idiots so they have an "out" when contract time comes.SportsAndLady;1461506 wrote:Just finally looked up his tweets. Yeah, he tweeted about no one wanting to play here. I don't care what these guys say though....as long as they produce

Saw that tweet and thought it was fucked up for Taylor to say that. I guess I just don't care as much as some of you guys do about how they act, what they say, or what they do off the field. Just win.

Only in Cleveland. This is how you treat your players, former and current.

I think that's a fair assessment. Basically it's not a crime to be a fan of other city's teams in different sports. Just don't intentionally antagonize your own fan base. But I guess his character as demonstrated by his past actions is just shining through.BR1986FB;1462063 wrote:Not a fan of this writer but he says it pretty well...

LaConfora & Lombardi have been buddies for a LONG time so of course he's going to bash on the previous GM. Trying to make his buddy look good if the team falls flat on it's face this year.Commander of Awesome;1462130 wrote:Anyone else read thsi article?

Younger players these days are nothing more than jock sniffers. They all want to be "seen" with the big stars like Lebron. You didn't see guys like Ray Lewis or Calvin Johnson (like Greg Little & Josh Gordon) flying down there so they could cheese it up with Lebron on Instagram. Today, they are all "boys" (i.e. tight) and, for the most part, don't have the same competitive streak that guys like Magic or Jordan did.Fly4Fun;1462133 wrote:I think that's a fair assessment. I don't think it's necessarily just younger players these days. I think it's more broad than that, specifically that our society really does idolize athletes and entertainers (actors/musicians/random reality TV show trash) and this is just an extension of that. Think about it, for someone Josh Gordon's age LeBron has been probably one of the biggest athletes in his lifetime. But, that still doesn't excuse Gordon's lack of good judgment.BR1986FB;1462135 wrote:Younger players these days are nothing more than jock sniffers. If you just take the approach of "I don't care what my teams players do off the field, just win" approach, you'll sound less and less like a bitter old man.
