Last year they were at least interesting to watch, and were in a lot of games till the end. I'm old enough to remember the really great times when we were one of the best teams in the AFC(mid -late 80's)....It's hard to believe it's been that long agoWill be a fun 7-9 season though, as I definitely think they'll be more fun to watch this season than they have in the last 5+ years.

No shit. Seemed like we were in the playoffs every year, for a stretch. Even favorites to make the Super Bowl one year (friggin Elway). Now many would be happy with a better than .500 record.HitsRus;1436352 wrote:Last year they were at least interesting to watch, and were in a lot of games till the end. Blackmon suspended 4 games for violating substance policy. LOL
Blackmon's suspension should also void $10,772,248 of guarantees in '13-'15 contract years

Faulk could end up being a nice steal...
http://www.nola.com/lsu/index.ssf/2013/04/lsu_ot_chris_faulk_signs_free.htmlOffensive tackle Chris Faulk agreed to terms with the Cleveland Browns, joining defensive end Barkevious Mingo, whom the Browns drafted in the first round.
Faulk's day was a disappointment, although he expressed happiness in his Facebook post. He donned a Browns cap and titled his post Cleveland-bound.
Faulk, who is 6-feet-6 and 325 pounds, had hopes of going as high as the third round. He was rated the No. 11 offensive tackle and the No. 112 player overall by NFLdraftscout.com. Going into the 2012 season Faulk was judged to be a sure first-round pick by the end of the season. But he tore two ligaments in his right knee during practice after LSU's season opener.
The injury required two surgeries last fall and Faulk was unable to run or do drills during pre-draft workouts. He got some positive feedback in visits with teams, but never got the call.

He played battered the whole year, wasn't 100% healthy once, STILL put up the numbers he did, and he's not superior?BR1986FB;1436305 wrote:. I don't think T-Rich is a superior RB but an O-Line like that would likely make his stats look like one.

What is superior about 950 yards rushing and 3.6ypc behind one of the better olines in the league?lhslep134;1436479 wrote:He played battered the whole year, wasn't 100% healthy once, STILL put up the numbers he did, and he's not superior?

Jury is still out. Hope he can give a healthy season.

I think TRich can still be a stud. I think he's got some unbelievable skills as well as power. His production was hand-cuffed by our ridiculously predictable play-calling last season and an underwhelming pass offense. Improvement in both of those areas could do wonders for Trent's production (and I suspect due to Norv's success and tenure that he will be a significant upgrade on the Patty/Childress offense).Pick6;1436482 wrote:What is superior about 950 yards rushing and 3.6ypc behind one of the better olines in the league?

1300 total yards, 12 total touchdowns, and 51 receptions is pretty damn superior for a rookie, continually pestered by injury back.Pick6;1436482 wrote:What is superior about 950 yards rushing and 3.6ypc behind one of the better olines in the league?

I'm looking at potential for T Rich when I say he can be superior. I'm not going to just post his rookie stats and infer he's going to be a superior back. Christ this argument is retarded.
Browns fans are pointing to his stats saying he can be elite. Pick6 is pointing to his stats to he probably won't.
Congrats though pick6, you're that guy right now

It's quite unreal what Saban has done.Laley23;1436539 wrote:Just watch Richardson at Alabama and you know he can be elite. Holy hell was he amazing to watch.
When Ingram played I thought Richardson was clearly better.
When Richardson played I thought Lacy was as good, thought he had a little more burst.
When Lacy played, I thought/think Yeldon could be the best of them.
I know a LOT of that has to do with superior offensive line play, just saying, it's an unreal collection of backs. I think Richardson is going to be awesome

You didn't explicitly say that. BR did (anyone shocked?) and I refuted that with the same stats that you said weren't superior.Pick6;1436560 wrote:What? Where did I say he wasnt going to be superior?

I agree with 1 and 3. Richardson was easily better than Ingram and Yeldon looks better than Lacy. While Lacy is good, Ive never thought he looked/could be as good as Trent. I think Richardson is the best of them all by a little margin. He does everything well including being the best runner, imo.lhslep134;1436565 wrote:It's quite unreal what Saban has done.

T-Rich has also done it against some of the gooder defenses in the NFL. Ingram hasn't.Laley23;1436570 wrote:I agree with 1 and 3. Yep, what he did against Baltimore was pretty nice. They were definitely one of the "gooder" defenses in the NFL.Commander of Awesome;1436734 wrote:T-Rich has also done it against some of the gooder defenses in the NFL. Ingram hasn't.
