Would love to see it...just don't think Weeden is any good. I think his ceiling is a Josh freeman. So yes he could definitely be serviceable. But I'm looking for an elite QB on this team, not just serviceable.

I do agree though..without shurmur he'll def be better than how he is now. Shurmur was the worst, straight up.

Next year will be a little different, a team will only need to get the #2 pick to get the franchise QB. The #1 pick will be a DE.

One thing I expect is to see a helluva lot less 3 yard passes on 3rd and 8. "They gotta work for the extra yards!!!"

Another thing, now that we've made it through the draft, there are still some solid FA available out there. What would your "wish list" look like from the available FA's?

I would LOVE to steal Brandon Moore away from other teams to plug in at guard, and I think I would also have some interest in a veteran safety, whether it be Woodson, Rhodes, or Barber.

Here's a nice link to peruse the available players... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000150953/article/top-40-remaining-nfl-free-agents

From that list I wouldn't mind taking a chance on Kerry Rhodes, Michael Boley, even maybe Carlos Dansby/NickBarnett for some ILB help behind DQ or even fill a role and Charles Woodson would be intriguing for him being back there at FS with TJ being SS. I know he's getting up there in age and has been injury prone but have to think he'd be a better option than most guys the Browns currently have.

Agreed, and I would REALLY love some veteran leadership in the secondary that knows what it takes to be a championship caliber team. Haden is a stud, but it would be nice to have a vocal leader other than DQ to assume some of that responsibility.

Agreed. Hopefully we only have 3rd and 7s. #babysteps

On that down, the choice is easy. Armond Smith sweep play! #shurmur'd

I am partial to that tight end reverse or dive that we ran down on the goal line a couple years ago

Wouldn't be so sure, Clowney is amazing, but if the Jaguars have the first pick then they're going to want Bridgewater.

Last year everyone was saying Barkley was going to be the #1 pick. I think Bridgewater will probably be the #1 QB, but I'm not going to say he will be the #1 pick just yet.

Well yea, anything said about next years draft at this point is pure speculation. I was kinda just making the point that a QB has more value than a DE. Clowney will be a beast, but he won't win a QB-less team a championship.

What happened to that "have to take QB" approach?

Before the draft I was thinking 7-9, 8-8.
After the draft I was thinking 5-11, 6-10.
After looking at the schedule, I am thinking 6-10, 7-9.

AFC East sucks sans the Pats.

I don't understand this logic. You thought they were near .500 with their current roster, but after they added players they somehow are 2 losses worse?
