At one point, a mom was being interviewed and a creepy guy with a recording device kneeled down and started interviewing the little girl.
I would've kicked that mother fucker right in the teeth!

That is the opposite of my ideal world.

But knowing a cop is there, could stop people from coming in. You know that guy today knew no resistance at all would be there.

Agree, my 6 year old daughter is at school and I'm sure knows nothing, nor would she understand. However, my 9 year old son is home sick today and I stayed home. So he knows about it and we talked a little bit about it. Used it as a small teaching moment, but I eventually had to turn the channel. He doesn't need to worry about this shit. He'll worry enough about it when he grows up.

Like right now on CNN they're replaying the interview with this little boy. He looks panicked and everytime he hears a noise he is looking around. Stop talking to these kids. I know reporters have a job to do. But trying to get info from a traumatized kid is unfair.

Probably not this guy. He had body armor and well armed. Also, just think how most of those guys would provide security - they aren't going to overly harass or scare parents. If they aren't on high alert they are a fairly easy target for someone to walk up and just pull a gun out.

sounds like a massive overreaction as usual. Sure, it's a terrible tragedy, but how many schools are there in this country? The idea to put medal detectors and police at every entrance of every school in this country is a complete overreaction. How many school shooting are there? How many schools. You have a better chance of getting in a car accident on the way to school than having a shooting.

Until it happens in your community. I don't think we can ever be TOO SAFE with our youth.

True. Although every parent would probably pay a few bucks a week to pay for additional security.

Of course, they'll just strike some other way. They'll show-up as classes let out and kids are going to the bus, or they'll wait at the bus stop and get those kids. I just don't think you can make us immune from sociopaths.

Maybe we should just all stay inside and be fed corn like cattle. At least our children would be safe!

It would stop me or you from coming in and acting foolish, it's not going to stop a psychopath that has made up his mind that he wants to kill innocent children and is willing to die to do it.

Hopefully that's the right guy. Otherwise that guy is going to be suing someone.

Certainly can't argue that.

What if the cop killed the bastard prematurely? If it even brings the chance of saving one life, then it is worth it to me.

Well I'm guessing its him since it has that as his town. And it's not a very large town.

And it just gets sicker. So he killed the wife or girlfriend, and then drives to the school to go mega-crazy. Literally makes me want to throw-up.
