Let's say that ND wins out and gets into the National Championship game and actually pulls out a win. ND gets the National Championship and it feels as though the curse has been lifted.

But wait...Ohio State also finishes undefeated in a year they are ineligible to play in a bowl game.

For the rest of time, ND fans would have to hear how it's not a "real" Championship since OSU was also undefeated and "would have beat ND if they played."

Ugh. My worst nightmare for sure!

Honestly, best case scenario for ND is to play in a BCS bowl game against a team from the SEC East. Florida, Georgia, USC, etc would all get blown out by ND.

worst nightmare for ND/wet dream for me is that they go undefeated and miss out on the NC game, and I get to hear them cry about it for a month. Then they will lose to an ACC team in the BCS.

it makes sense that it seems no other fan base cares about ND as much as OSU fans do, because you have not been exposed to other fan bases as much as OSU.
