Middle class white christian males born in the US generally have to earn scholarships to college based on merit alone (not a bad thing, by the way). No one ever received a scholarship solely on the basis of being middle class, white, christian, male, and born in the US.

Housing covenants used to keep Blacks, Jews, Latinos, Orientals and Catholic out of homes into the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] half of the 20[SUP]th[/SUP] century
Colleges had their quotas for these groups. Or completely kept them out. The same in hiring.
Gosh today religious groups today give scholarships to their members. I don’t thing there are a lot of blacks getting LDS free rides. Guess what you have to be born an American citizen to be President.
But if you could ever overcome your self pity it would be a step toward real redemption.

I know many middle class people who received scholarships to college based on need, or by electing a specific major, etc. If your parents were less than wealthy and you didn't receive financial aid, you either aren't looking very hard, or are a complete idiot.

Most schools have reduced thresholds for minorities for ACT and GPA scores. See, University of Toledo or any MAC school. Not racist though! :rolleyes:

That would be relevant if I went to The University of Toledo or a MAC school. You are fully aware of my stance regarding AA and other quota policies for jobs and education. So stop acting like you're proving a point to me.

The numbers certainly back up that a white person is more likely to succeed than a racial minority in the United States. What that is due to is irrelevant to the fact that it is better statistically to be born white. Though the largest break of all is to be born into a middle/upper class stable family in a 1st world country.

Given all the possible fates you could be born into, hitting the genetic lottery is an apt term.

Hell no. It does exist and IMO has lived it's course. The topic was Petraeus resigning for banging another woman. I'm not sure how it was derailed but I have an idea.
