Well, if it's just an affair they did the correct thing. It probably would have influenced some voters, and that would have been wrong (if it's just an affair).

But I've already seen one person at least claim Obama had absolutely no idea. I don't think it was anyone WH/Administration official, but it's simply implausible to me that he didn't know.

I suspect the voters hoping the "real" Obama from 2008 would show up will be very disappointed.

I realize you folks have a preference for your paranoid fantasies involving our First African American President. But it is a tragedy that General Patraeus has decisions that have lead to his resignation. It has been nearly 70 years since an American commanding general has come out of war with such a deserved high reputation and respect of the large majority of the American people. And now this tawdry incident, it is a shame.

Saw a clip where an African American was explaining he voted for Obama because "we want a seat at the table when the bureaucrats decide who's going to suffer". Honest and insightful. I might point out that if we elected someone else we might not have to suffer, but this is the most enlightened Obama supporter I have seen.

as is obvious in the campaign and on this website the opposition and hatred toward our first African American President is not simply partisanship but has a deep racial motivation.
oh if you need I will give you a short history of race relations in our country so you can see the primary source of racism has been.

Is there a problem with the truth coming out? I would think you, as an Obama supporter, would welcome the testimony such that the President can be fully exonerated of any culpability, ineptness, callousness that might besmirch his legacy. Most certainly his actions can stand the light of day! He did say that the buck stops on his desk. He will/should welcome the opportunity to be transparent.

all part of a continuing attempt to delegitimize the electoral mandate of our first African American President. they used a tawdry sex scandal to try to undermine the Clinton Presidency, now they find another to use against Obama. They can not take the fact that the American electorate has refuted their ideology and intolerance.

It is being reported (and confirmed) that Eric Cantor knew about the affair in October.

I wonder why he kept quiet, as exposing a scandal among the administration would have probably hurt the President leading up to the election.

The problem is the CIA, the FBI and the state-run mainstream media are all controlled by an Obama Administration that is now drunk with new-found political clout the Amerikan Sheeple bestowed upon them last week. Plus Harry Reid controls the Senate.

Get used to it....Petraeus will never testify and neither will Hillary.

I don't think there us any doubt that the Benghazi investgation was stonewalled and pushed back until after the election with the help of the main street media propagandists....and now this was convieniently 'ignored', too.

I'm surprised that he resigned considering he felt that he broke no laws nor compromised national security. I'm sure the Obama administration didn't pressure him because Democrats don't seem to have a problem with 'tawdry' incidents, even when they occur within the White House walls. In fact...they even sent that person out on the campaign stump for them (cigar not included).

There is a war between the haves and have nots...and the have nots now have a leader who through executive orders can delegate who is the haves and have nots...thats what us folks can't take. Cool, he got elected. Not cool, he got elected because there are now more have nots than haves in our country.
