I was thinking the same thing. Second best almost dunk I've ever seen.

“@clubtrillion: Oden's nuts-in-Jeff-Green's-mouth against Georgetown in '07 Final 4 just got supplanted as my favorite missed dunk in college bball history.”

Mark Titus disagrees with me, haha.

I remember Jeff freaking Sheppard going down on a fastbreak for UK againstvBama and McDysse (sp) was waiting to swat and Sheppard exploded from the free throw line over the then very athletic McDysse and got fouled hard and the ball rimmed out. That's my definite #1....and he's Casper white

Not sure about ever -- Vince Carter's dunk over Frederic Weis or Tom Chambers over top Mark Jackson come to mind -- but the best this year in college basketball perhaps. Of course, you were just stating your opinion and me mine.

We can both agree that Oladipo is a freak.

Ah. I do recall that one. That would have been a monster finish, no doubt.

Here's another candidate for best missed dunk of all-time, and my personal favorite. The time Tyler Hansbrough thought he was Dr. J against Oklahoma and tried to fly over Blake Griffin from the free-throw line. Personally, I think it is right up there with the Greg Oden attempt and Victor's almost dunk tonight.

Which is why it's my personal favorite. :D

That "dunk attempt" pretty much sums up his personal brand of basketball.

Upon second look of that video, apparently not as far away from the rim as you did. The free throw line comment simply makes that dunk sound even more stupid than it already was. "Psycho T" might as well have taken off from beyond the arc.

Imo, Burke locked down the B1G POY yesterday, and it's not even close. My top five would look like this:

1.) Burke

2.) Oladipo
3.) Thomas
4.) Zeller
5.) Paul/Appling/etc.

I disagree. I don't think a player who led his team to loss, went 9/24 from the field , and missed a critical front end of a one and one locked down anything. Zeller was 8/10 from the field scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in his team's win. I think he and others are still in the race. I think your list probably stops at 4 and maybe 3, but nothing is locked up.

A little food for thought. In B1G games only Burke is shooting 42.7% from the field and 34.7% behind the arc.

^^I respect your opinion, but were you able to watch the entire game yesterday? Just curious is all.

Also, in addition to your 'food for thought' stats, he's also averaging 19pts, 7 assists, 2 steals and only 2 turnovers per game in B1G play.

Burke also threw up a lot of prayers towards the end of the game. He was definitely the best player on the floor last night. Only 1 who would have an argument would be oladipo

I was lucky enough to watch the game from the comforts of an emergency room bed (2nd time in 2 weekends). The only thing I gathered was that they need to figure out the slow starts. They will put them out of the tournament in a heartbeat. When they settle down, they are a top 3 team for sure.

I mean DeShaun Thomas is maybe up there as well, don't forget he went off for 32 in Lansing and basically came inches away from beating them by himself
