I asked the question, "How could any coach's philosophy be to essentially 'throw' games," and you answered it.

And you said this.

Where the hell did I say I think Roy throws games? Seriously? All I did was give the reason why Roy doesn't like the ACC Tourny.

Not one person on here has said they think Roy, or any other coach, throws games.

Fair enough. I'll chalk it up to misinterpreted wording.

(And I think we both know that I don't actually think you believe Roy throws games.)

lol I would hope so.

But I agree with the ACC. Whether it really defines the true champion of the conference or not, I like that the tournament winner is the recognized as the conference champion.

If we are going to share any common ground, that's as good as any. There is no doubt that due to that one of a kind tradition of crowning the postseason winner the champion, the ACC Tournament means more than any other conference tournament in America. It's what makes the event so unique and special. I look forward to those three days more than any other days in the sporting year. Still, to this day, I get chills watching my team play on Sunday at the Greensboro Coliseum. It never gets old. I wish you could understand the feeling. Lol. Just kidding.

Lol. Yeah, I would say so. Which is really sad, actually. Next to the ACC, the Big East Tournament at MSG is definitely my second favorite.

If the ACC ultimately ever goes the way of the world and the tournament desolves, I'll be inconsolable.

Rrn,
Since you will be in chapel hill please do stop by time out and get a chicken biscuit and a sweet tea. They are legendary. Franklin street is a true college town environment. Sadly all duke has is 9th street and it pales in comparison.

1992. Played rounds 1 and 2 in Greensboro.

So in 3 of Dook's National Championships, they have played games in North Carolina.
Sorry, I misread. In 91, they played the ACCT in Charlotte.

Things are a lot different now than in 1992. Duke was a darling in 90-91 and hunted not hated in 92. No one can dispute this. The vitriol toward the program hit a peak in 2004-2007 and its not a coincidence that since the NCAA engineered first and second round games where area teams placed in the same venue Duke has been bounced in earlier rounds. When playing in the state of NC I think of 2007 in charlotte when Carolina fans spearheaded the George Washington cheers or 2009 when the devils nearly bowed to Texas before 21k heels fans in gboro or 2011 when he Michigan student section was comprised of three maize nd dark blue and 10k light blue bloods from Charlotte. There is no home court advantage for the devils in this state. Everyone who lives here knows this.

Duke fans wound rather see the team go to ny, Philly, or DC. The venue is Lexington would bet be avoided as well if possible. They still harbor some deep hatred for the duke program,

With 20 points at North Carolina, Seth Curry now has more than 2,000 points in his college career. It marked the 16th time this season that Curry has topped the 20-point plateau and in six career games against UNC he is now averaging 15.8 points per and has shot 22-of-55 from three-point land (48%). Dating back to his 17-point second-half performance in his very first game against the Heels, Curry is a stone-cold Carolina killer.

The way Curry comes off screens with the ability to drain it from distance or get in the lane and finish with a smooth-as-butter floater, it's just lethal. I still contend that Curry could be leading the country in scoring if it weren't for his injuries.

My phone was dead yesterday afternoon on and didn't get this till now. I will check that out next time-Great time last nite I am 2-0 in the Dean Dome. Great crowd but Duke took them out of it early. I bring home a lifetime full of memories! My son also got to meet all the players at Cameron Indoor so it was an awesome experience-we are peaking at the right time-Go Duke!!!

I agree with this. I used to try and make the argument, but it's way too subjective. They are both great.

Agreed. I always watch duke unc. But to me it doesnt compare to osu-mich. But od course I think that. So I just think its dumb to say it one way or another. Both of them are awesome.

I've been to an OSU-Michigan football game and trust me there is no comparison. It's like comparing roller derby Tia nite in the county library. A private school vs the states big public school and place them 8 miles apart! Are you kidding me? Go to a Duke-UnC game and you would agree! Sorry just bein realistic

Seth Curry definitely should've been on the first team line. He averaged 17.1 points and dropped more than 20 points in 11 of 18 ACC contests, including going for 28 at Virginia, 26 against N.C. State and 25 at Maryland. Curry shot 45% from 3-PT in ACC play (55-of-122), including hitting more than five triples five times. He averaged 19.1 points per game over the last 12 conference games, capping the season with an 18-point first half in the Dean Dome on Saturday night (20 points overall) to lead the Devils to victory over UNC.

He was brilliant this year, also passing the 2,000 point mark for his college career in the last Carolina game. And he did it all enduring nagging shin splints and practicing an average of one day a week.

Can't believe Curry wasn't 1st team. Hope a chip has been placed.
