Notre Dame is getting stomped by Providence.
UK is down 33-12 to Tennessee midway through the 1st.

There was still some mystery, but it's clear after today that Noel meant even more to UK that initially though.

Calipari to Archie Goodwin, "I can't coach you."

It's all downhill from here on out. Going to be a tough last month of the season. You're going to see some lagging spreads involving UK...bet against them. It's going to feel similar to the last year under Gillispie, with some complacent fans just waiting for next year.

This blows. I know I'm spoiled, but up until now there hasn't been a day I've been at Kentucky that I've been disappointed in the basketball team.

Hang in there dude. I was there for 3 years, and all ended in heartbreak.

The Bogans' injury year.
The loss to UAB year.
The Elite Eight loss to MSU w/Chuck Hayes crying on the baseline.

The passion just grows though. I have confidence that Coach Cal will A) make sure next year's roster is the antithesis of this one, in-terms of coachability and leadership and B) he's making a list right now of who is going to pay next year.

Baylor, Louisville, Tennessee (for this beat down), Alabama and Florida. It's still growing...

Luckily I've got two more years. An elite eight, a final four, and a championship, with promise for the next two years is a pretty damn good time on campus.

Are Goodwin, Poythress, and Cauley-Stein all definitely gone next year? They're all still inexplicably projected to go in the 1st round, but the stock is definitely dropping fast.

I'd love it if Cauley came back. I'd say he has the best chance. Poythress could, Goodwin will not.

Calipari told Goodwin during the game, "I can't coach you." I mean, I can't see him saying that to the kid if he was going to have him as a prominent player on a team next year who will be expected to compete for a national title.

Something incredible? Ryan Harrow's line today...

18 minutes
0 points
0 assists
0 rebounds
0 steals
0 blocks
5 fouls

It might be the worst stat line of the year.

I hope Cauley-Stein and Wiltjer return. With Polson and Hood as emergency players, those 2 guys would be enough to support an incoming class with 5-7 Mickey D's AA's.

I see Ryan Harrow transferring. The kid has the physical abilities, but something is missing upstairs. He reminds me a lot of Larry Drew. Might as well cut bait now, instead of being in a critical situation with the ball in his hands. Cal sees this, as IMO, he has stopped really trying with Harrow and Goodwin.

Despite the problems, Cal still is trying with Poythress. Despite the issues, he would welcome AP22 back if he wanted to return.

BTW...call me crazy, but I like UCLA +4.5 today at Stanford.

Really like Colorado State -3.5 at Air Force. CSU has been rolling lately, and they own AFA.

Arkansas is a pick'em at home against Missouri. The Hogs actually won on the road the other night. I look them to build on that momemtum today at BWA against the Tigers. Mike Anderson can smoke Frank Haith in the coaching department.

I got a nice parlay on these 3 games, so hopefully it can give me a bit of reprieve from the UK beatdown.

Ryan Harrow was in several mock drafts prior to the start of the year. While he will never get drafted after the season he has had thus far, I imagine that you are right in that there is no way returning to Lexington is even a possibility. Coming back to Kentucky would destroy any hopes he ever had of getting drafted into the NBA. I almost think he might be better off going to Europe, if he can. At this point, it's basically a Taylor King situation, where he would be transferring to a third school in almost three years (King transferred to four schools, though never actually played at USC.) Not sure it's the best route at this point. Will be interesting.

As for Wiltjer, while his skill set is somewhat limited, he'd fit tremendously into Duke's offense as a big with jump shooting ability. I really like his game. He's got a velvety stroke.

I got Arkansas straight up. Felt good about that one earlier today. As has been discussed here many times, Bud Walton Arena is a house of horrors for SEC foes.

I also currently have Wake at -2 against Tech on the table. Like Arkansas, even when horrible, the Deacs are very competitive at home.

Going to go Vegas tonight at -4 over SDSU. If the Rebels don't come out fired up and get a big win in the Thomas & Mack tonight, I will give up on them completely.

You forgot his turnover.

Literally would've been better off had they played 4 on 5 with him not out there.

As for Wiltjer, he should be a key player for the next 2 years. Really has a great offensive skill set and is starting to get a little more aggressive defensively and on the boards. He needs to hit the weight room.

Good finish coming with Bedlam on the hardwood.

Would seal an NCAA bid for OU if they won in Stillwater...

N.C State playing what I would refer to only as barn ball again today in Raleigh against a Va Tech team that has lost seven straight games, several by humiliating totals. The Wolfpack actually trailed in the second half by five at one point.

Mark Gottfried should win the non-Coach of the Year Award. He has underperformed with this team at levels that only Sid Lowe could do.

Now watch State make a run and make the Final Four...

While that wouldn't at all surprise me, with as much talent as there is there, that team is one Scott Wood no-show away from being bounced in the first two rounds. He has bailed the Pack out multiple times this season against teams that had no business beating State with late three-pointers.

Scott Wood carried them in the Georgetown win last year. He hit some dagger threes to keep that game in-check.

NCSU really blew that last possession.

Playing unneeded extra minutes today...

If Arkansas holds up, I probably will back out on the Vegas pick and pick something else. Don't feel like going out on a loss tonight. I basically have no confidence in Dave Rice. Dude is just a bad in-game coach. The Hogs are looking clearly superior to Missouri right now, but the game remains a tight one.

I feel pretty confident in a UNLV win tonight. Odds are decent enough that I would just go with the ML (I think it was -175 earlier today).

As soon as Arkansas is done blowing this lead and game, I will probably be mad enough to go full go on UNLV. if there is anything I hate more about gambling -- and there is a lot -- it is second guessing myself and losing. That's worse than losing money.
