Understood on that part. You crying would be weird. I think I get what you meant though.

Lol. My first thought.
I just don't buy "career ending" knee injuries. Why? Mcgahee (sp?)

Career-altering. We're talking a guy who is the #1 pick. Hard to ever say "career-ending."
Florida's Patric Young on Noel: "His leg was wobbly, knee looked dislocated. It was gruesome. I don't want to think about it."

Sources now reporting Noel has a complete patellar rupture in the right knee. If this is the case, it appears to be a 6-12 month heal time before he could play again. It would certainly put his 2013-14 NBA season in serious jeopardy...

I'm taking this from Twitter and from a Gators message board BTW, so who knows. Still...

Az, can Kentucky make the NCAAs without Noel? To say he's the centerpiece of that defense -- and really team -- would be an understatement. I would imagine it will be tough.
As a fan of a team that has had its fair share of seasons ruined in recent years by injury, that definitely sucks.

I'm not so sure they were going to make it with him.reclegend22;1388068 wrote:Az, can Kentucky make the NCAAs without Noel? To say he's the centerpiece of that defense -- and really team -- would be an understatement. I would imagine it will be tough.

At halftime of the MSU/Mich game they gave an update saying results wouldn't be known until the team returns to Kentucky. Unless a hospital employee is on Florida's message board, I'd take the update with a grain of salt. Hopefully its something that that he can come back from relatively soon and full strength.

Given remaining schedules, they probably make it without. Not sure there is enough leadership to move forward.
We'll certainly see what some of these guys are made of.

I'll probably be more unbiased and neutral now though. I still have those I'll root for and against, but it should still be a hell of a March Madness.

Id go pro if I were him, though if his stock falls coming back to UK to rehab it and come back strong would be an option.

Agreed. His diagnosis and road to recovery will be well on it's way by then. He's still a top 10 pick if he gets a clear bill of health and expected recovery. This exact reason is why the whole debate of playing for nothing is a subject.

Yeah, that really makes me appreciate every day I'm able to train and enjoy freedom of movement. Nasty.

Did he hit it on the support? Or come down like that?
Either way, that pic makes me queezy. Really hope he is ok

He jumped and blocked the shot, landed like that. The impact with the support was minimal and was after the snap.

"@GaryParrishCBS: Nerlens Noel tore his ACL. He's done for the season."
Its official, torn ACL. Hate it for him, would have been fun to watch them in the tournament with Noel. Hopefully he'll be fine for the NBA.

Yikes knew it was bad when his knee bent that way.
He must of done something else besides ACL though. Because I've torn both of mine completely and sure, it hurt...but it wasnt enough to cause screaming like he was doing. And I was able to put weight on it to at least limp off the court. He had to of done something in addition to tearing just his ACL. Maybe he tore cartilage as well(which is much more painful IMO than the actual ACL tear)

^^^You may have a higher threshold for pain too, as I've heard people screaming after spraining their ankle.

Syracuse loses to UConn.
Butler falls at home to Charlotte. Rotnei Clarke started 1-9, but then put up 15 points in the final 3 minutes and almost brought Butler back.

Miami appears as though they will escape. But goodness, they need to learn math. Taking terrible and quick shots in the last 1:30 while up 6 allowing FSU to have more than 3 possessions to get back into it.

Creighton in danger of not making the NCAAs, is more like it. Jesus. And Im sorry, but if you are going to be NPOY, you better not lose games. Doug McDermot is good, but not Adam Morrison good. Morrison at least had the Zags winning all season.Mulva;1388734 wrote:Creighton in danger of losing a 3rd straight, down 5 late to Northern Iowa.
