That'd be a wetdream for a lot of RU fans...fucking puke. Just because you beast at the HS level, doesn't mean you can be a head coach at a now B1G school.reclegend22;1418990 wrote:If he were five years younger, targeting Bob Hurley Sr. would be a fantastic idea for Rutgers. Doubt he would ever leave his post at St. Anthony's, though.
Dan Hurley is an up-and-comer but struggled in his first year at Rhode Island -- anyone would, the program was a disaster when he took it over -- so he likely will not be in the running. I wonder if Greg Marshall might listen with it being a Big Ten job now. Wouldn't be a great move, though. I think Rutgers is a tough job.
Gregg Marshall isn't a bad option, but again I doubt he'd leave for RU. He could do a lot better.

With as many D-I talents and NBA players that Hurley has helped produce, I imagine he could do all right for himself. Most guys start somewhere and are big enough hits at that somewhere to move up the ladder.

Gregg Marshall would be an idiot to take that job in my opinion.
Dan Hurley would be a solid choice. Maybe Chris mooney?

I think the best response to this whole thing that I've read is that Rice needs to go to a dysfunctional NBA franchise with his "motivational techniques". Go to the Kings and throw a ball at DeMarcus Cousins' head. See where that leads him.Rotinaj;1419474 wrote:Saw some of the outside the lines about that coach. Decision to come tonight on Tim Pernetti's job
Some good stuff on here

TP took this job out of love for Rutgers, he didn't need this job at all, he was making more in TV. If Rutgers fires him over this, After he stood up and took responsibility for his decision, he should spit on the BOG and BOT and tell them to go F _ _ k themselves.
Myself, I will be outraged and never donate another dime more than I have to for my football parking passes.
Rutgers better do the right thing here.

Ed Rush resignedSportsAndLady;1418345 wrote:Should the Pac-12 Head of Officials, Ed Rush, be fired for his comments towards Sean Miller?
He said, and I'm paraphrasing here, "I'll give you $5,000 or a trip to Cancun if you T up or toss Miller" to the other officials, in Vegas, during the Pac12 tourney.
After the Donaghue stuff, you have to fire him don't you?

Yeah kinda saw that coming, with how he handled the Rice thing in the first place it was kinda inevitable.

Its incredibly hard to oust a president. Not happening. Especially since they let pernettis head already roll. Which is a shame because that guy did more for that athletic department than they could have ever imagined.

Yeah, I mean every school has faculty calling to fire the President at some point. If it gains any traction past that, there's a very slight chance IMO

Yeah he did just get them into the B1G. But with the attention that Rice thing is getting with the media, somebody has to be the fall guy I guess
