First leg of the CIC Trophy was a shocker for me. Navy's having a tough year and going into Colorado Springs wasn't looking too good after blow out losses to Notre Dame, Penn St. and last week's loss to San Jose State. The night prior to their game with Air Force they watched the following video:

It worked even with starting QB Miller going down. The freshman Reynolds came in and lead the Mids to a touchdown and send the game into overtime whereby Navy won it.

They only need to beat Army December 8th to regain the trophy. It will be their "bowl game" this year.

I'm surprised a man such as yourself would care about meaningless things like trophies and not just appreciate the game for what it is. Trophies are too materialistic.

Although I don't quite I don't understand the "materialistic" comment...it's truly not the trophy as much as the game against the brother's in arms that matters. The trophy is simply the result. Being the caretaker of it for a year is the result of two wins or another not being able to have two wins against you and your biggest rival.

Hey Con show these other heathens on here a pic of the CIC and what a great trophy it is. Got to see it on display back in the late 90's while visiting West Point. GO Navy!

Now that's a Trophy! I remember guesstimating that thing easily weighs 75 - 100 lbs.

Final = 41-21 Army. Dominant effort even considering the Air Force turnovers. I can't believe I am saying this but Army actually looked good.

It's going to make December 8th even more special now.

Who gives a shit, a bunch of gimmicky low-talent football with a trophy awarded for beating 2 other teams. Less meaning than the Sun Belt title.

And MIT will produce the leaders of the greatest companies on earth, doesn't mean I want to watch their shitty football team.

Wish I could chat more today but I'm heading out to Annapolis. Get to see a few matches of the Navy Classic wrestling tournament before heading over to the stadium for the game.
