The real question you need to be asking is why the NCAA let's it happen the way they do.

- ohio state could curtail ga tech's option at home
- how the blue turf in boise would affect the hokies
- is florida's speed too much for penn state in the swamp
- the autzen zoo will be too tough for the hawkeyes to handle
- tcu can initiate the first step of their march through the sec conference at home against the bayou bengals
- or if cmu could get revenge against brian kelly for leaving them three seasons ago
- OSU couldn't stop Navy, so how could they stop actual football players?
- Va Tech will get pummeled by UT in Atlanta, so I'd imagine they'd lose to Boise even if it were played on Mars
- The humidity in Gainesville would kill the average human, so Penn State would slowly suffocate
- Iowa plays in a bunch of country-club atmospheres during the season, so Autzen would be too much
- TCU would only need to be facing less than a 3rd-and-37 (or whatever the limits of "3rd and Chavis" is) to keep drives alive
- Central Michigan would pull up exactly like what happened to Ball State

There you go...what a thrilling playoff round that would be.

The wildcard in the LSU-TCU scenario is Les Miles. LSU better hope they blow TCU's doors off because you don't want Miles anywhere close to a 2 minute drill situation. One of the biggest meltdowns I've ever watched. Spiking the ball with a running clock that is at 0.01 seconds is sheer coaching genius

That's not really a wild card; LSU can't and won't do it, and any team facing a John Chavis-orchestrated defense can move the ball from anywhere to anywhere at any time.

Trust me, I saw the guy's body of work over a 15-year span at Tennessee...all of us who wear orange know what his weaknesses are. And when fan bases, who as a general rule are largely made up of people who have no idea about what goes into success, know exactly how to combat something, trouble is on the way.

That pot thing looks like something my 89 yr old grt-aunt would put fake flowers in. But it was kinda entertaining game.
