lol at you guys thinking a guy that can't stay healthy and has NEVER avged better than 11 pts and 8 rebs will be a 15 and 10 guy magically after multiple knee surgeries and close to 3 yrs out of the game.

Offer him a little more money and a little longer contract. I think he may care a little more about financial security with his injury history than playing just to have a 'ship to his name. The reward-you get a very good player, the risk- you lose some money that you had to spend anyways. Cleveland is closer to his home, OSU, and the Cavs also have the Cleveland Clinic to offer. Give him two years with an option for a 3rd year. Reward far exceeds the risk. If you sign him this season. Give him 10-15 mins a game to get back into shape/get used to the game again.

Take it FWIW, but there are people saying he has a painkiller addiction on RCF.

Its a pretty big if. IF he could play 32-36 minutes a game and play at least 75 games, I see him between 17-20 ppg and 10-12 rebounds per game. He was a #1 pick overall for a reason. He is a bust because of injuries not skill

That's correct. I was thinking just picking his replacement.

This. This guy is a monumental bust who cannot stay healthy, its in no way shape or form worth taking up a roster spot for him

The Cavs have Casspi and Luke fucking Walton on their roster. They are already wasting multiple roster spots. Id rather waste one on Oden then those 2 shitheads.

Sure sign Oden. But the Cavs'd still be boring to watch..you gotta find a star in next year's draft, preferably a SG or scoring PF

There's buzz about the Celtics blowing it up.. would you want a Pierce or a Garnett on this roster next year or is that the wrong direction?

At least those 2 fuckheads have contributed for a full season without injury. Oden is a waste of space who would be on IR sooner rather than later if he EVER makes a comeback

When Kyrie is on the floor the Cavs are not boring to watch. We do need a SF, but not to put on a show. They're heading in the right direction.

I never said he wasn't worth a roster spot. Just that to think he's going to avg 15 & 10 isn't realistic.

Exactly. We need a SF. We don't need a SG or PF(Waiters and TT are just fine).

Kyrie is fun to watch. The Cavs are not. I dont want these guys to put on a show, I want them to win games. This is the NBA not the Globetrotters. Find another intimidating scoring threat and let's make a playoff run, otherwise I refuse to waste my time watching a one man show.

My point was this: They are heading in the right direction, just complete the puzzle next year. Your PG can't be your leading scorer, history tells us that that doesn't win games.

Think OKC minus Durrant, Westbrook would still be great, but the Thunder would not be.

OKC minus Durant and Westbrook and they are a bottom feeder. Probably one of the dumber posts I've ever read.

Try re-reading it. Westbrook without Durrant. Do you know how a comma works?

Really? You take the 2nd best player in the league off of a team and they wouldn't be as good?! Wow man, really laying the hammer knowledge down. /sarcasm

I'm glad you understood that. The point is the Cavs need to find a prolific scorer to be on the court with Kyrie. I know we have a SG and a PF that are fine, but I dont think that means we should limit ourselves to filling out the roster as is.

Wow, call the Cavs boring and everyone gets all worked up. I just meant I'm indifferent on Oden. take a chance if you wanna on him because we still need an upper level talent if we want to compete. Think of all the "big threes" Do we even have legitimate big two?

Read today where the Heat and Cavs now are 2 of the teams showing the most interest in Greg Oden. Said the Heat can only offer the veteran's minimum, while the Cavs could offer $4mil. Seems pricey for a dude who is clearly injury prone. Would be a nice surprise though if he could pull a "Z" and turn his career around after constantly getting hurt.
